Awsome video! One of these days, Im drivin down there with my '53 olds and we can cruise the roads! (mabey a race here and there, but i think we know who would win, hehe)
@david500o9 Thanks! Well come on! Don't doubt that little Olds 88 with its Hydra-Matic and modern V-8 would wax the Caddy, but that's OK too! I still kick myself for not trying to buy a '53 Super 88 back in the 70's that had factory AC. It belonged to two old maid sisters and just wish I'd kept up with it. It was a dark blue 4-door sedan with a radio-delete panel in place of a radio!
@NDrLoR I'll upload a video about the car. I've got a long way to go untill its ready to race. The original color on mine was a two-tone green, and the interior is...well, its seen better days. not much left, but what makes me smile everytime i turn the key, is the fact that the engine has never been rebuilt and still runs like it just came out of the factory in 53. And Im sure it would be a neck and neck race, haha.
@david500o9 I hope you will! Those Oldses of the 50's are the best they ever made. They use the same body as the Buick Specials, which were handicapped by an obsolete straight 8 and power-absorbing Dynaflow, while the Olds has the latest design V-8 and best automatic transmission ever put into a car up to that time!
@hep2jive Thanks, hep2jive! Well, it's open now and affords a beautiful view out over the Brazos river and as far east as you can see! I might have to make another drive through to show it!
@Mrtrumphchopper Please, whoever else is offended by Mrtrumphchoppers mental raves, report this ill person to YT. He got pulled off YT recently, but managed to reappear using yet another variation of MY SCREEN NAME. Help to get rid of this menace once and for all.FYI,my name is Mrtriumphchopper ONLY! Thank you!
If you had a head-on collision with that Cadillac, you would've tore those modern day cars to shreds. They just don't make 'em that good anymore. At 2:41 and 3:03, you sounded like us Jersey drivers, LOL!
You have to give the devil (modern cars) their due. If the '53 was in a head on collision, it would be demolished and the bullet-shaped steering column would go through my chest cavity like an embalmer's trocar. The designers in these days had no retraints and they did as they pleased. I recognize your name from my other channel--I'm VictrolaJazz too!

What a wonderful trip down memory lane. She's remarkably in great shape for her age. Obviously well cared for and loved.
