that is not a birch at the start of the video, that's a maple, and looks to me like a sugar maple, but most maples look the same unless you look at the wood color and slight differences in the bark when up close, but I'm 100% sure it's not a birch.
my little girl always asks for this, every time we go hiking, backpacking. it always makes me smile to hear such a young kid knowing so much about the out doors. oh yea, she also asked me for a hawk and a bear for pets. she says they van help us find the best spots to camp at. kids!
i'm impressed, you gotta be real good to get birch sap out of a pine tree. nice job.
