This is great, but it is NOT the original version. This is the 12" version that was on Substance 1987. This version's better known, but it came out five years later than the original 7".

Gosh, it was the early 80's and I was absolutely in love w this D.J., Gerb, in New York City. He made a tape for me with this song on it. I thought he said it was "The The". I have been searching for it and now I have found it! Yaaay! Only because I cannot  get my records out of storage,(I do own the 12in.), and play them cos I haven't had a place to live for some time now, but it's great to hear it again. Thanks....

If it wasn't for New Order, I wouldn't have sounds for so much of what I've felt in my life. I would have sufficed with other stuff, but this is the only band that was an absolute revelation to hear for the first time (for me, around 2001). I listen, to this song especially, and so much that's been stown away over the years gets a brilliant and elagic slideshow. I love and appreciate this band.
