hi guys, this may sound silly but i just got an alienware like this one bout early of jan, and now im selling it coz i stupidly dont need it that much (maybe coz i bought it when i was high). but yeah, im selling it for bout CAD 1500. neven been used to play any high graph games, and dont really use it coz i literally have another laptop. so please help me to spread the words by giving my a thumb up. thank you and i appreciate it.

Dual graphics (which R3 doesn't have) and it's got a ten x better screen than the R1 and R3, better GPU config and better build and cooling system.

If you want the best alienware though it's the M18x which is the true upgrade from the R2.

If you want a lil bit cheaper computer than this one, not as good looking, but with the same or even more power than the x17 go to Sager's lineup... Especially the NP8170 they have a lot of power for a better price and are reliable...

Not being able to downlaod drivers directly from the card manufacturer but the dell website instead which just says there is something dodgey with the driver. I know you guys want a cool laptop so you won't listen but you could seriously save your money. Plus even with a good card and cooling system it slowsdown

@Syredisa057 I would get the Asus G74 , i own both the G74 and the M17x r3 , I like the G74 build and keyboard layout better , screen also looks better on the asus , the alienware has a sound issue where it will just glitch out while playing music and doing other things , the Asus does not do this , overall i think the asus is best bang for your money , do not get a refurb alienware those suck even more

@Mr8Shady8 Asus has laptops that are close to the same power. The only problem is that alienware does actually pack alot of power into the high price they have. If you would like a cheaper laptop with similar specs, you should look into the asus g74 series.

Alienware is way overpriced. It's over rated. Being owned by Dell makes things worse.

Sure they are powerful, and can play any game but there are many downsides to the reliability and stability of these systems. Dell uses third party components and has one of the worst quality control plans in the business. A true engineered laptop is the new Asus g74. They make their own parts, provide a standard 2 year global warranty, and has more than enough power for most games as well as an antiglare scre
