Calling the 3 people who died Martyrs is an insult to all Martyrs of the past if they died protecting the area which i doubt they did then fair play but to call them Martyrs? i'm proud of these muslims who protected pples shops.... the jews where also fasting during the riots, at was a very serious day on the jewish calendar where a lot of bad things had happened.... but as the jews asked for forgiveness, G-d didn't let the riots hit stamford hill, if u look at all the places the riots hit, u'll see, by all logic it should have hit stamford hill, but thanks to the unity of the jewish comunity and G-d's hand it didn't

@MordechaiKestecher stamford hill is a mostly jewish area but there is a mosque in stamford hill that were praying on these nights as well because the riots occured in the month of ramadan. but to be honest don't think there would of been much to loot from stamford hill. I could be wrong... but I always thought of that area to be a bit....ermmm bland. peace

@MsMariam00 yes i believe there's at least one mosque on alcom road i think... there's probably more and there's plenty muslims that live or work in stamford hill... there may not be much laptop or mobile phone shop, but they where just trashing everything out there, between the pharmacies, sainsburies and all the kosher shops they could have done some damage, i heard they tried attacking abc or maybe it was boots, but thnx to some jews and other locals they didn't get in

What we mean is that if a non muslim died we would not call them martyrs. But, yes we would be saddened over the death as it was a person who did not deserve to be killed. Thats what I mean, the muslims should help their communities, and introduce islam and give people dawah (calling them to islam in best manners) but we don't compromise on our beliefs either.

We might not be related to them by blood, despite that, them being Muslims automatically makes them like our Blood brother. Meaning, it's like our own flesh and blood were killed, thus the importance is always going to be greater.

I seriously have doubts if you truly believe you wouldn't feel more at a loss if it was your brother that died, as to compare to someone outside your family. Sure, the respect for their actions will be the same, that's no different in Islam, if someone dies protecting their family, then hats off to them, Muslim or not. But, the loss felt, would very much be different.
