  • just played alomg with my piano to the song. maybe I make recording and send it to ya.;-)

We play that song in our band.look for harry davidson boppin the blues

  • Sounds as good as Carl Buddy you just need a rockabilly band behind you and you'll be Rhythm bound keep up the good work

  • Wow, thanks very much ...I'll be doing that, pretty soon.

  • Please take a look/listen to some of my recent original songs when you get the chance - Jez

  • You've got it man...I met Carl Perkins three times in my life...he was always on top of his game. You did him justice...I know he'd be proud!

  • Thanks very much! I saw Carl Perkins live in the late 1980s, I would love to have met him like you.

  • This is great. I love your Rickenbacker too.

  • Thanks very much.

  • Damn good. I wish more people would play Ricks for different kinds of music other than sixties "jingly-jangly" sounds. I'm not sure if it's full potential has fully been explored, though Pete Townshend did some wild things with them i.e. My Generation. I never realized how great they sound for rockabilly until I saw your video. Thanks.

  • great clip and awesome playing dude...thanks for sharing

  • wow ....and I thought I hate blues

    I love it

  • this is rockabilly not blues

  • I'd say you're both right - You could say this type of rockabilly is a mix of country and blues. The chord sequence is a form of 12-bar blues and the the melody contains blues notes.

  • man u sound like carl perkins

  • Try Boppin' the Blues by Blackfeather, theres a clip here on Youtube.

  • great job, on all your tunes good voice and cool tone on the guitar just wondering if you could explain that riff from 1:34 to 1:37 it is killer

  • You're very good! I'm here under MajorHart.. I played for over 20 years in the bars and clubs and often heard about Carl Perkins and just when I decided I really liked his music and wanted to learn some - I found out sadly that he had died. and George Harrison too.

He even today would be a big star because his beats were fabulous and he obviously enjoyed what he was doing.

Keep up the good work - I'm going to listen to some others of your stuff now.

    Thanks MajorHart

  • Thanks very much! I was lucky enough to see Carl play live in the late 1980s. He's long been a favourite of mine. Greatly under-rated by the mainstream (but not by rockabilly fans). and sadly missed. As is George Harrison, who was another big Carl Perkins fan.

  • Great job...you need to be on stage with a hard drivin rhythm section behind you.

  • GREAT singer. Lose the guitar (it just gets in your way) and front the band. The tune doesn't go back to "D" from the "E".

  • I like his guitar too - he should keep playing that - he is very good. and it doesn't have to be done in exactly the same way to be good. Just as long as it is very similar.

  • Thanks for the defence! I probably play it a little differently every time I do it, and I've noticed from various live recordings and re-recordings that so did Carl.

  • brilliant

  • I dig this!

  • You're a pro

  • Wow, this sounds fantastic. I think Carl couldn't have done it better. I can't believe you get this sound with just one guitar!

  • Great job ...

  • great!

  • great sound - good example of how less is more

  • Wow, that Rick sounds just like a Gretch T. Rose guitar. I suspect the pickups are similar.

    Great guitar tone!

    5!

  • Superbe voix, et beau travail à la guitare.

Bravo pour cette chanson et pour "Twenty Flight Rock".

  • WOW! You nailed it! Your sound reminds me a lot of the young Mr.Perkins. I think you did it weeeeeeeeeeeeell:-)!!

  • Thanks very much!

  • the rick sounds good.

  • awsome this is great

  • Thanks very much!
