  • Why don't you do rear naked choke instead? simply easier and stronger

  • I love these variations, i cant wait to practice this whole puppet master system. :)

  • in the unforgiven, i find that if you extend your leg while you hold on to your ankle, you could easily snap a guy's windpipe, wolverine.

i had to sit out from my blue belt class just for pulling that off cos it was so dangerous.

wolverine, you might want to teach some of the other people there to only leg extend with caution, you don't want to kill anyone.

  • just to make things clear:

-transition from the PM to the back is called THE SOLUTION

-transition from the back(over-under control) is called THE RIDDLER

  • When setting up the unforgiven what is the best way to keep a good base with a hook in or not. And would you recommend not trying the technique if their elbows are in tight? Or how do you troubleshoot that? Thanks wolvie

  • nice stuff its interesting stuff gonna try this stuff tommorrow

  • why does unforgiven and apple crusher looks the same?

  • Re-watch the video, the difference is the placement of your opponents near side arm. If your doing either the Apple Crusher or the Unforgiven from the Riddler set up from the back you would Zombie the arm before throwing the leg over their neck for the Apple Crusher, but in the Unforgiven you skip the Zombie and throw the leg over and squeeze,

  • ohhh i see the difference alrdi, its the arm sticking out at 3.56 thx for clearing that up.

  • It also seems to me that if you were to be late on the transition around 3:10 and have trouble for any reason with any of the chokes, that you could attack the zombied arm, sort of like a Kimura or the "Bouncer."

Gonna take this to the gym and study it later, though. Badass shit dude!

  • i got a question. at 4:40 are you completely sure when you let go of his wrist that he can't just unhook his arm and turn into you??? cause it looks like your guy is laying there but his arm is not LOCKED by your foot. an opponent that is freaking out is gonna get his arm out it seems. should you extend your other leg so it pulls his arm back to an angle where he cannot get it out????

  • Good question, but I don't think it will make much of a difference if he frees the arm once the leg is over the back of his neck because the choke is so tight that even with the arm free I don't think he will have any way of escaping. If he frees the arm before the leg is over the neck then there is a move in part 5 for that called the Cleveland,

  • Thanks for the comment Matt,

I have been following your fights ever since your fight in the Kick Down in Denver and am a big fan of yours. Your UFC fight was great, I loved when you caught him in the Rubix Cube. I would have totally freaked out if you had put him in the Puppet Master. I'm going to film some new videos with more options and transitions off of what we've put up so far this weekend, hope you and everyone else likes them,

    Wolverine

    Wolverine

  • love tenth planet love to see it applied in competition..someone post that!! ill shit my pants!!! :)

  • Incredible work. Everything you've come up with looks to be killer.

Keep inventing new moves and making new videos, you guys have basically just invented a new, very effective dead zone.

  • Thanks,

I will have some new stuff to put up on youtube when I get back home. What we have found is that in drilling the moves we often come up with new moves off of them on accident. I also watch the old videos, pause them watch them in reverse, and this opens my eyes to new stuff as well. Let me know if you have any ideas on new stuff off of what we have put up,

  • Wolverine, this technique is awesome. I started studying Eddie´s rubber guard 2 months ago. Ive been working in my flexibility a lot but still cant get the crack head control properly. I am also very tall and that had made me think that rubber guard wont work for me. This puppet master position looks easier to me due to my long legs. Im still a believer of the rubber guard. what do you think about beeing tall and using the rubber guard? im 6´4"

    Great job dude

  • I think rubber guard will work good for you. You might have to just grip higher on your leg in some positions to get tighter control. My friend Jason came up with a cool choke from mission control that we call the Jason X Choke that the taller you are the easier it is to pull off. We will have to get that one up on youtube, you'll like it.

    Wolverine

  • I greatly appreciate your efforts and EB's movement to take this sport to the next LEVEL. Keep doing your thang!

  • "The Unforgiven"

I wonder where you got that name from ;)

Maybe it's got something to do with your obvious love for TALLIICCCCAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • Great stuff guys...how 'bout showing some of the defenses to these moves as well! Just a thought, but absolutely love the moves!

  • I've found that when me and Felipe roll, we both know we are trying to set up the Rubix Cube so we can transition to the Puppet Master, so in trying to defend against it we throw our selves back into all of the old rubber guard options. I've pretty much given him omaplatas, and gogos trying to defend against the RC. I was setting him up from the back to do the Riddler, and in trying to defend that I was able to pull off the Swim Move to the Spider Web.

  • As with all Rubber Guard the best defense is to try to keep good posture, thats why I like the Riddler, because it is so hard to defend, and by taking both arms out of the equation you take away their ability to defend against the choke.

    Wolverine

  • SOB. You are awesome dude!! 10th planet rules!!

  • wow awesome stuff. Ill definately be adding some of this stuff to my arsenal.

  • first! lol love it guys! ... think you've got any more in you?

  • Give us a few weeks, and we will have more. There are definately a few more set ups coming, and we've got a few more subs from the Rubix Cube and a possible new position off of it that may tie up both arms without even transitioning to the Puppet Master.
