Hmmm sorry but you are a bit misinformed. You can bring an empty water bottle and fill it up after security to bring on the plane or just buy a bottle in the terminal to bring aboard
In the US you're allowed to bring an empty water bottle to the airport, then just fill it up after security. They don't search your bag RIGHT before you get on the plane so if you but something in the airport AFTER SECURITY you can bring it on the plane even holding it in plain sight. Just FYI.
