  • I have skied some of the runs you show from A Basin ie Palivicini albiet slowly. I realy start to struggle in powder or crud. I am a big guy at six foot two and 230 pounds . I am half thinking that my 10 year old Volkl skis are too long and too narrow as I seem to sink and trip in those powder days. Tried practising brush carves , fine on piste , powder = sink , trip and fall . Any ideas.

  • @darrendad On skis like that the only way to keep them above water, so to speak, is with speed and lots of flexing at the end of the turn. There are good skis available that are wider and help the situation. Head Peak 84, or the Movement, Jam are two such skis.

  • PMTS all mountain skiing at its best. Elegant, efficient, and effective.

  • @geoffda - what's that PMTS, my friend? i like this vid, i agree this technique of short carved-slided turns is universal and excellent. but please tell me what is PMTS.

  • @alegzander1971 PMTS is a revolutionary new ski teaching system.

  • Primary Movements Teaching System

  • I always like your freeskiing videos!
