I TOTALLY Love MD-80's and they make one the best authentic engine sounds ever at takeoff plus it's so quiet from the front than compared to being noisy in the back and it's so loud at takeoff from outside. BTW, when you were on your way to seattle, did you see any thunderstorms?
@keemez No self respecting aviation enthusiast uses "plane" either. Bird is preferable to "plane" or "aeroplane". "Aircraft" is perferable to all of them.
@jbriggs1966 I use plane... Just because you know better terms you should dump something as simple as plane. As far as I know it means the same thing, and saves CO2 emissions.
I got on this flight on stanby at the last minute ( literally) and the lady at the gate said they had a window seat, but it was in the rear of the plane. I said 'sounds good to me'!
Thanks! Only a little. My son does though, and he loves it. I was hoping to get some footage of Mt Rainier, as it was spectacular, but I was on the wrong side of the plane...
Excellent camera control at the moment of touchdown!

No problem. I play Flight Simulator 2004 too, you can download any plane imaginable for that game it's awesome, including American Airlines MD-83s.

We'll look for that. I like flying on them, the seats are a little wider than the typical 737, and if you're up front, they are very quiet.
