HI C , I have been taking ALA for 4 weeks now but my BLOOD SUGAR levels are falling with this ..as it is known to reduce Blood Sugar .... Any Suggestions , so that they dont drop too low ..... :( . Thanks
Ala not taken frequently moves mercury into the brain and organs as it binds to the mercury then after the 3 hour half life is over the mercury is redistributed around the body and into the brain. I know many who have gotten much worse with neurological conditions developing after taking it as a supplement.
Thanks for the great video Connie, this is info everyone can use for their health. . .Also, I wondered had you tried high doses of Vitamin C for your Lyme's? Or possibly Lypo-Spheric Vit C (which is the best money can buy)? I've spoken to several people that had GREAT success with both forms of Vit C w/Lyme's Disease. (not too mention Intraveneous Vit C)
Can you let me know what a "toxic binder" is please. i.e. can you define exactly what supplement would be needed if alpha-lipoic acid were taken to remove heavy metals from the body. Many thanks..
Hello Conniebillbug, do you where can I get some GOOD ALA? I already take VD3, Fish oils and multiv but I am looking for a good ALA. Your response will be appreciated. Thank you!
ALA pulls out mercury. The side effects of improper chelation can be devastating on every system of the body. Not to mention it can make every infection you have flare up big time. There has been a long debate on whether individuals with mercury toxicity should use ALA outside of a frequent dose schedule. Personally, I listen to Andy Cutler on this issue.
Not me, I take 100mg with a bunch of other stuff with coffee on an empty stomach. I tend to eat later though but for the most my mood is stable and elevated. Could be that I am happy.
I am not giving medical advice--I am sharing what I have learned through my experiences. If my videos don't benefit you, I suggest you look elsewhere for info. on Lyme. I try to offer what I know to help others but when people respond with such cruel comments I start to wonder why I even bother.
@conniekillbug hi connie ive been on d3 for 3 years and i did get lots of colds.. but nothing since starting nothing at all.... you keep up the good work ... check out ...MMS....and ellagic acid...great tip about the heavey metals ... i take chlorella to and a DHT blocker to lower my estrogen, and save my hair. any advice you have or other things i should look at pleace feel free.. oil pulling? so on
wow connie, you are truly lucky you are well enough to fly back and forth from CO to costa rica, you must be very well. amazing how people post on being 'sick' but perhaps they are hyperfocused on their 'illness'?? you my dear are a FORMER lyme sufferer, ...oh yes, you are also giving 'medical advice' without being qualified and that dearie is against the law
recommending nutritional supplements IS NOT GIVING MEDICAL ADVICE. If I tell you that eating bananas boost your potassium levels, again, this is NOT MEDICAL ADVICE...GET REAL. I don't NEED an M.D. to tell me what nutritional supplements I need. If you can't post something constructive then PLEASE don't bother posting at all.
I was wondering how you get your information for instance, are you a nutritionist or had any special training in supplementation, detox, etc.? Or are you self-trained by your own study? Thanks!
To clarify further.... You would want the "Stabilized" R- Alpha Lipoic Acid not just R-Alpha Lipoic Acid.
R-Alpha Lipoic Acid is easily degraded by heat and light but the "Stabilized" form is resistant to the degradation.
Also, you never want to use the "S" form of ALA, as it's synthetic and is virtually worthless to our system. You will also find brands listing "RS" forms. These are a combo of "R" natural and "S" synthetic. Which basically means you are using a product at 50% worth.
I have known some to have serious adverse reactions to the Marshall protocol. It is very controversial. I know it has helped some but I would personally find a different way to treat Lyme. Benicar, if your BP is low, I would not take. Hope this helps!
Eat herring. It has a ridiculous amount of Vitamin D.

ALA actually recycles vitamin C and E.

You maybe low in 25 (OH) vitamin D but lymes can higher 1, 25 dihydroxy vitamin D. Vitamin D can be an immunosuppressant.

I agree with making sure its "Stabilized" R- Alpha Lipoic Acid !
Some people like myself are sensitive to this and only use 50mg 3-4 times a week as it gives heart palpitations..so get the powder and measure it.
Also, along with LDN,this has cured people with many forms of cancer. DR Berkson has pioneered this method.

Hi Thane,
I have known some to have serious adverse reactions to the Marshall protocol. It is very controversial. I know it has helped some but I would personally find a different way to treat Lyme. Benicar, if your BP is low, I would not take. Hope this helps!
