  • Bolivia is is now implementing socialist-captilist hybrid policy like China did 20 years ago and now China rebuilt it's Empire from 3rd world conditions.Like China Bolivia will only let a few scientists from the West (Europe/Asia) in but must educate and train the Native American workforce and reject immigant workers from those countries to prevent colonialism and slave labour like what;s happening in Africa. Like China I hope a modernised Inca Empire rises from the ashes.

  • My advice to Bolivia, use the resource and arm yourselves as much as soon as you can, make allegiances with strong powers too, protect yourselves from the americans and europeans, why do you think chile and brazil are arming like crazy? Latin american resources will be the last ones on earth.

  • WELL I GUESS THE QUEEN OF ENGLAND CAN BREATH A SIGH OF RELIEF...PLENTY OF LITHIUM AVAILABLE FOR MIND CONTROL INTO THE 21ST CENTURY...WHEEEWWW

  • @ReinaValera1865 You might need some Lithium to cope with getter raped by a woman.

  • That Lithium is used to dumb us down and for mind programming and Satanic Ritual Abuse...it splits the core of the brain...no communication between the right and left hemisphere when Lithium is taken

  • The good thing is that they have allies in their own regions and in a great position to negotiate an equitable partnership with other developing nations.

  • Its such a shame that even CNN doesn't get the names right! The chief engineers name is Marcelo Castro, not Castor!!!

  • All you have to do is wow them with a Zippo lighter.. they'll trade.

  • I totally agree, Evo is a fucking asshole who barely speaks spanish and never went to college.... if we had a good leader we could become one of the wealthier nations of the world, Lithium is the Oil of the future but we need to decide wisely how to sell it and whom to sell it sorry for my bad english:)

  • Watch out Bolivia, The Capitalist Vultures will go to steal your resources for cents...

  • @joriag

Sure, sure... Yet without developing those resources those literally become useless. And without certain forms of "capitalism" its practically impossible to develop anything.

So better be careful what you wish for.

  • @joriag it will be better than what they have now. Theyre farting around with it because of some tribal bullshit and we need that shit now. theyve pulled 60 lbs of it in 10 fucking years. Theyre gonna have to move on with it or bolivia will return to the banana republic it was before this rediculous turd morales.

  • Evo Morales was elected to do this. We want him to protect our natural resources. Bolivia has been kept underdeveloped &exploited for centuries. Unfortunately some people who were born in Bolivia &might have Bolivian passports hate Bolivians & Bolivia. They have lived a privileged life and instead of supporting our independence & development they join the ideology of the free market, not knowing that they are supporting their own demise.Capitalism is destroying the world, can't stop profiting!

  • I for one thing Pres. Morales is doing the right thing and I commend him for standing his ground on this. And time if foreign interests leave they will NOT be without the expertise to make it happen. Send your young engineers to foreign universities (funded by the gov't, requiring some period of gov't employment to repay the education costs) to learn how to do it. 10 yrs is not so long to start an economic, technological, and industrial revolution. Good for you Bolivia.

  • Well I read up they are do it alone through a prosess called "Trial and Error" just like how Europe and Asia developed technology in the past centurties. I think Asian are now gonna dislike Native Americans since Evo Morales who is Native American kicked the Japanese and Koreans in the face and out the door when it came to Investment but Asians did the same to Europeans back in the day too.

  • well now there is a new game in town, and the Americans are in control, Afghanistan lithium!

  • @vancouverbluz

Just like in Iraq, right? All the contracts going to the Russians, Chinese, French and who know to whom else. Maybe the Americans will be able to secure at least some tiny pieces. ;-)

  • @terroil Whom do you think has found it? The americans...

  • @vancouverbluz

So what? Obviously we dont live in the 19th century anymore.

  • @terroil YES, you are right, the commodity barons of the 19th century can't monopolize commodity markets and economies. So what is your point?

  • @vancouverbluz

LOL U.S wont take that sir , U.S is not as powerful as they used to be years ago... and you said it , ITS AFGHANISTAN LITHIUM!

  • @Bambiciento So what, the moral of the story is that Bolivia is trying to corner the market in the resource, for economic or political reasons. Now that afganistan has as much if not more, then there couldn't be a monopoly. It doesn't matter whom has control of it, what matters is it will be put on the market.

  • Talk about some bigtime bullshit...this has got to be it!

  • Progress should not be limited to a "financial" plan. ..

The Spanish and English destroyed many wonderful cultures for monetary reasons. Indians want to protect culture, tradition, and family values. The one who kills for monetary reasons is the barbarion...

Free Market Economy won't work in Bolivia. An educated public is needed, and past governments have excluded 70% of Bolivia from a basic education. Evo changed that. Evo is your typical BOlivian, very smart, but ignorant.

  • Nobody excluded nobody here, University here is FREE, but for these indians no matter how many schools you build for them , they just prefer to smug and produce cocaine. And for the sake of that 30% which is the educated one the US and UK should liberate us from these primitive monkeys that seems didnt evolved enough to be considered humans.

  • Boliboy is ignorant; a PERFECT example of the issues that needs to be addressed in BOLIVIA:

    I G N O R A N C E.

You forget that it was the indians that killed off many Colombian and Peruvian Cartels in the past. If Culture or tradition didn't mean soo much to them, the cartels would have taken over the mountains looong ago.

Cocain is not produced by the indians. It's produced by the euro descent fools who put $ in front of family.

Be proud of your roots & learn your history.

  • PFDLOANS is a Inca descendent crap that lives in the USA imaging that his "roots" are one of the best in the world. Wake up you moron, Bolivia indians might have killed cartels cause they HAVE their own cartel here and even supported by the current comunist President. What would you know about who produce cocaine? you dont live here you have no clue what you are saying and I hope the US wash that crap from your mind.

  • US delta force and UK SAS should come here and kill all the indians from my country, only then we will progress.

  • @boliboy2299

Not so nice... Rethink. Repent. :)

  • being from switzerland you should support unless u r an ilegal inmigrant

  • @boliboy2299

Being from Switzerland I support neutrality and freedom in the first place...

  • may be Us and uk should to kill then the all the world will be in peace!!!

  • learn english first u mug

  • Are you really that naive, ponchosrojos7? Im wondering...

  • Progress should not be limited to a "financial" plan. The Spanish and English destroyed many wonderful cultures for monetary reasons. Indians want to protect culture and tradition.

You seem to favor a free market economy. This works great for a educated public. The ignorance in Latin America is substantial. Bolivians were smart enough to build tiowanako. The government never invested a dime into educating 70% of BOlivia until Evo. Free market can't work with out an educated public.

  • Morales is going to fuck us all over... Such an idiot....

  • Good on ya Bolivia... Stick to your guns and look after the future of your people...

  • It's nice to see a country soo rich in culture and family unity finally come up big with a resource that the world will need.

Soo much has been stripped from these people. Thank God they got one more chance.

  • With Evo Morales in power this will never happen. Free Bolivia by supporting the removal of the MAS and then will we truly be free. A country ruled by ignorance, hatred and racism isn't the right thing to do.

  • VIVA BOLIVIA CARAJO!!!!

POTOSI tierra de CAporales rica como siempre.

  • I think it's great that the people of Bolivia are looking to manufacture the batteries. This should happen in Africa too. No more free raw materiasls. Sell the battey not the lithium.

  • @heaty007

Andean countries and African countries should trade with each other just like Europe and Asia do in the Northern hemisphere.

  • @heaty007 just.. don't end up like india + cocacola

  • Bolivia will not sell a single molecule of Lethium to Chile because Chile has anexed Bolivian ports a century ago, this dispute has not and will not go away unless Bolivia gets a corridor to the Pacific. Either Bolivia gets a corridor or Chile will never have Ambassador in Santiago or a single molecule of lithium or natural gas.

  • Business... Money... Cooperation... Social and economic development... Growth... Threats and a negative approach wont do it...

  • You are wrong my friend, Actually Bolivia is winning its dispute with Chile. Chile unlawfully been using bolivian waters for their large copper mine, but now Chile is being asked to pay $17,000 a day for the right to use bolivian waters or else. Chile refused to do so for a century but Chile now has no choice but to pay. Sometimes, you have to take the bull by the horns. Go google up silala water bolivia chile so u can understand.

  • I dont see where im wrong... Maybe you can explain your position in a better way. Without cooperation its practically impossible to achieve a good climate allowing for social and economic development. There are many models how to achieve this but the extremes have never worked. One just needs to look into recent history.

    irc(.)nl/page/47964

"B and C are close to drawing up an initial agreement regarding the use of the Silala waters, following a meeting..."

    Sounds like cooperation to me.

  • It will be like china. "Native" Bolivians will be sociallist at first to get their power to deconlonise and advance their education. After that they will industrialise and become more capitalist.

  • now thats a video every voyeur will get to see me watching in no time.

  • well see, megomaniacs are judges critiqueing talent, and its shown every time in their media lives that these bosses suck at doing what the contestants are doing. so how can a judge make the contestants ready for stardom, if they suck dick of the talent they seek out?

  • Let the damn Socialists develop the technology themselves... Oh, wait, that would make them capitalists...

Something tells me there is just as much Lithium In Utah as there is in Bolivia....

  • There is also more polygamy in Utah, but i still wouldn't want to live there.

  • uh u forgot that Bush Jr. spent the usa into socialism.

  • Thank you to whom ever for the thumbs down!

It tells me I struck a nerve. It was the line that "... all the profits have to stay in Bolivia..." that was just a crock of bull, and made me react. Read Atlas Shrugged and tell me how the Peoples States of Bolivia, etc. fared in the end.

  • electric cars will not solve global warming, as a matter of fact, it wont even reduce emissions. Where does electricity come from? Mainly in the U.S coal, nuclear etc. As the demand for electricity goes up, the more coal and power plants that will be built.

  • I'd like to know how this video with only 4,172 views gets on the main video page.. lol

  • Does it? Fascinating. I have no idea...

  • See the entrepreneurs want to start an industry from scratch build roads and infrastructure and hire people, but as soon as they start getting successful their socialist government will probably want to nationalize the lithium industry and run it into the ground.

  • and once agian how does a video make it to the front of the "most popular" page after having been rated only 8 times.

  • cause it gave a blowjob to youtube's tube

  • yeah. then what the fuck happens when we run out of lithium?

  • bicycles

  • sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

  • top channel 4 reporting as usual-the only decent daily news programme left on tv

  • Ah, and those Bolivians BLACKMAILED Brazil about natural gas exactly when pipelines were finally up & running and Brazil was the most dependent of gas.

Now that prices have dwindled, they are begging Brazil buys more gas (in a take-or-pay basis!) even though Brazil does not need it because the blackmails and threats to cut the gas supply is too fresh in our memories. Everybody turned to ethanol, and liquified gas.

No matter why Bolivia is so poor. They deserve it..

  • If you can, forgive fast and look for reconciliation. Try to push each other in friendly competition. Im not saying you should be buying "fossil fuels" at all. The time has come to leave that era behind us... ;-)

  • Bolivia is poor because of idiots like Evo that have come to rule the country.

  • @InvisibleSun97 Bolivia is poor because for the past 500 years have been exporting almost free of charge all their natural resources to richer countries, same with all depleted mines on all South America. Go to school you are the idiot, kk? thanks!

Kk? Your welcome...

  • @stjester Derechista? No, no creo.

  • @InvisibleSun97

He's only been there for a short period you fucking moron. Bolivia is poor because it's been exploited for so fucking long. What's so bad about companies PAYING for what they mine?!

  • @InvisibleSun97 Bolivia is poor thanks to US for rule my country for years,

    puto gringo!!!!!!

  • @InvisibleSun97 no, we are poor because US imposed their puppet governments before to retrain Bolivia from developing and by that ways always have cheap raw materials.

  • @InvisibleSun97 wrong it is thanks to old goverments that only rule the country to steal, Evo is doing well so far thanks to him Bolivia recover most of its resources

  • @fredeck19 The old governments were all corrupt yes, but Evo's party isn't much better. We need a real president. A real party. Not a party that will spend its money buying helicopters and jets, stating that eating chicken makes you gay and bald, not a party that focuses on making its members rich, not a party who tries to establish a dictatorship, not a party who is dependent on the US or Venezuela. We need a party who understands the diverse peoples of Bolivia, not what history has given us

  • Again this Latin-American stupid whinning about natural resources. Keep complaining that "the Martians took all our natural resources so we are poor". What about Japan, that never had such resources?

Here in Brazil, the government blocked the private extraction of quartz because "quartz = fiber optics = future = we don't want to be exploited by 1st world". Two years after, most fiber optics were acrylic. Lots of jobs and income that could have been created meanwhile are lost forever.

  • Well, thats the other part of the coin, so to say. Seeking cooperation allows the "wolf" getting satiated and the "sheep" staying alive. The days of the "banana approach" are over. That doesnt of course mean people dont have to work hard if they want to develop their societies. Its damn hard work. Ive noticed that too many people practically love to equivocate and blame it "on the others". Unfortunately this approach doesnt solve anything...

  • The second thing is that if we want something done, we have to do it

ourselves. This is why Goni who

wanted to sell everything quick and cheap, was kicked out by the

massess of Bolivia. This is why Evo Morales is the president of

Bolivia 57% voted for him, to defend our interests. He didn't fall from heaven and despite the efforts of USA and European pro-business political

efforts to destablize his government. He is still our president because this is our choice.

  • "The 2nd thing is that if we want something done, we have to do it ourselves."

YES. But... There are "things" that cant be done single-handedly. Its either very impractical or almost impossible. People need to cooperate and compete in a friendly spirit.

"..voted for him, to defend our interests."

Sooner or later it will become apparent how well mister Morales will defend "your" interests.

    "..this is our choice."

Whatever you chose. Dont get oversensitive and dont see everywhere a conspiracy.

  • Using violence to threaten other parties doesn't promote much choice does it? As far as for the choosing, paying people to riot and to vote for your party isn't exactly the same either. If you believe this presidents claims of foreign attempts to mess up our country I believe you are mistaken. Bolivia isn't that important, to those countries. Even if they were (which they arn't) they would just be playing the same game he did years ago. Don't get me wrong El Pueblo needs a leader just not MAS

  • @InvisibleSun97 US media brainwashed your mind dude. Rethink your position. You are speaking like a CNN ultra- liberal analyst ha ha.

  • @Betoguerralvarez

    "CNN ulra-liberal analyst"

    LOL

  • Our "guano" made Lord Gibbs the richest man in the UK,

for us it meant the loss of human life and the loss of our Litoral.

Our silver propped the Spanish monarchy for hundreds of years. Our tin

made Patino one of the richest men in the world, although he was

Bolivian his profits were stashed away in USA and Europe. Our oil &

gas made British, Spanish & USA companies profitable (with bolivian

subsidies during the Goni government), while in our country we still

do not have gas in our homes.

  • Well, when the Europeans first confronted the Arabs, they were in a similar position. Only education, science and rising economics can help there. Unfortunately for some, one can not make the same mistakes as they were done hundreds of years ago. We dont live in the past, but in the present.

Look at middle and middle eastern european countries. most of them were subdued and exploited for centuries and now they are rising. There is no room for equivocation but for hard work and cooperation.

  • You shill. Do you ever look at natural resource statistics? Do you realize that most nations that serve as exporters of raw goods have massive stratification of wealth and huge levels of poverty? They suffer for their fortunes.

  • Bolivia is rich in natural and human resources. The last 500 years of

explotation has left us with 10 million dead people, half of our

territory lost to our neighbours who signed treaties with foreign

companies. We have learnt from this experience two things: the first

thing is that multinationals were created with one objective and it is

PROFIT, but this profit it is not invested on people but kept in the

    hands of few.

  • Are there any studies supporting those mentioned figures?

Yes, the companies have been always about "profit first". Yet the times have been changing too. However, without a compromise nothing is gonna work...

  • The profits are kept in the hands of the few because they are run by people like Linera and Morales. Things are different in the world now and things are changing. Racism and violence will not be the way to go around these things. 500 years of exploitation... you forget the exploitation was there with your native rulers as well. They just abided by the rules back then. Now we are lawless, and full of hate of something that is only our fault.
