  • i hate watching people eat

  • I'm sure there's much Harley hardly knows, but he does have a successful lifestyle formula. By formula I dont mean 80-10-10. I do mean the sleep & hydration. For instance, if he just ate a fruit heavy, greens sprinkled diet, but stayed up late & didn't chase after hydration, he wouldn't be so successful as going down zzzz & getting up with the sun & drinking plenty of water. That would give more latitude to stray on diet. Oh maybe the 10 is for hrs of zzz & 10 glasses of H2O per day. is that it?

  • sleep -water -sugar....SEX- WONDEFUL LIVING- and more SEX...

  • 10g per kg of carbs, is that to maintain a certain weight or can I lose weight on that equation? Also how many types of fruit should I practically aim for a day?

  • @EatRawstayHot Fruits have relatively low GI levels and low GL. They are complex carbs. They do not spike blood sugar levels very high.

  • Thank you for your videos. I have other Vegan people's channels that I subscribe to, to learn how to be vegan but yours is different.I love their passion and views but I'm the type that needs a slap sometimes when I doubt decisions that are positive but hard to do. Your videos do that and make me laugh too. Subbed.

  • @TheNolo73 P.S. Your videos and a permanent image in my mind of a raccoon skinned alive and staring into the camera.

  • Comment removed

  • You should never stand under a coconut tree so many ppl get killed like that from the coconuts falling on there head

  • @AngeliquesLOVE We probably should stop driving aswell right?

  • @Mitchell9oh5 It was a joke we should have a laugh too!

  • it's the simplicity of simplocity of the simplest that makes it simple. EASY.

  • I want to live like this, but there must be some funds involved to an extent to travel around like he does. Unless he happened to find a bicycle, and happens to find food all the time in random places and can travel like that, with the laptop. Nice.

  • Life does not have to have a purpose. People never asked to be born. Sitting on a beach eating bananas, coconuts and living within that environment whilst repecting it is a perfectly acceptable. As long as you are not abusing your environment and have resect for it then day-to-day living like that with not purpose other than to enjoy the moment is enough.

Don't worry people what you yourselves do when there are multi corporates out there that strip mine mountains and pollute the waters.

  • What about fat levels what do you eat to keep a healthy amount of fat in you diet?

  • If you are trying to spread your knowledge and develop as an individual, it's a bit more than just "being happy". I think as Humans our goals in life are to understand our environment, be a part of it without destroying it (which pretty much makes Veganism a necessity, otherwise you're ignoring the facts), and develop our knowledge about the world around us.

This is (or should be) the essence of civilization

  • @nickorization To each their own.

  • @InferiorThanYou oh but each of us is not an island, independent from its environment.

  • Best video you've made so far.

  • @ObamaWasBornlnKenya Yes... because there it is not possible that someone could be that heavy without being fat... Right?

  • What the heck... I thought 30 bananas a day sounded a lot, but at 10g carbs per kilo of bodyweight a day I would have to eat about 60 bananas a day... hmmm...

  • is that 1kg of rice dry or rehydrated? Cheers

  • Like your hair long.

  • so what are the fundamentals?

  • GOT SLEEP? GOT WATER? GOT SUGAR?

  • with all due respect to Freelee... you are one handsome looking man.

  • @youarethedeal You are kidding right? You like the gaunt meth addict look? EEWW

  • @rachellikeman Get. A. Life. Please. Instead of hating life, watching a video of someone who has a life that is actually worth living, and then posting freaking 4 negative comments to get your jealousy and frustration out. Don't take your shit out on others. Now THAT is pathetic, and I actually feel bad for you.

  • Sleep is dependent on the person, studies have um, studied that :P

I adore your videos. I'm trying to change my life, one step at a time.

  • Why aren't the clouds moving?

  • The feeling after you eat cooked food, lesson learned.

  • eat fruit pee drink water and sleep

  • Im suffering candida and chronic flatulence, fruits paradoxally help my digestive system big time

  • I thought that you need protein! You cant get enough protein on only FRUIT!!!!

  • @Alternativerealm Are you joking? lmao

  • @Alternativerealm actually fruit contains amino acids :) if you eat enough you will be just fine!

  • @Alternativerealm You certainly can get enough 'protein' from fruits and vegetables. Although it comes in the form of 'amino acids', which are the building blocks of protein. The body doesn't actually need protein, it just needs amino acids. It can get amino acids from protein but it is actually far easier for digestion to just get it straight as amino acids. Same goes for essential fatty acids.

  • I heard that Fruit makes you FAT!

  • @Alternativerealm You heard someone talking out of their ARSE.

  • @Alternativerealm Well, you heard wrong. Check out 30bananasaday (dot) com. 10,000 people there to prove it wrong. :)

  • @TardsOfParadise YOU ARE DURIAN RIDER WITH A FAKE ACCOUNT

  • Awesome bro, really inspired by your videos. Thanks!

  • Question: do we really need intense exercise? I'm not talking the casual stroll to the corner market. I suspect the answer is no, we were never meant to run. So is 80-10-10 still an optimum diet for low exercise?

  • @MediaKingify We aint meant to run? WTF?

Oh yeah, running is for 'crazy people'. ;)

  • @durianriders I know you are being sarcastic harley, but I agree. I wrote an article about this. There are reasons why long distance low intensity running is bad for you. Short sprints are great, up to 400 metres. Perhaps I'll send the article to you on Facebook. Look out for it.

    M

  • @MediaKingify We were never meant to run???

  • @MediaKingify fat?

  • @MediaKingify Ya we were never meant to run, we're meant to eat top ramen all day.

  • @MediaKingify You're absolutely right. That's why God invented Segway's. When the fight or flight instint kicks in, you just hop on your Segway and run . . . er roll away. I dont know how our ancestors made it for 250,000 yrs. or so with out Segways & reclining chairs, Viagra, suicide Monsanto GMO seeds, crude oil, guns, organized religion, infinite economic grwoth paradigm.

I like you "MediaKingify". I bet you work for MONSANTO. Another great inovation of modern reptillian thinking.

  • @MediaKingify Ha! What a reckless pronouncment 2 make: "we were never meant to run". R u so impervious as 2 never need fear, the healthy sort that makes U run for your life? Do u think we humans have always lived in these locked boxes (homes, apartments)? We are bipedal (we got 2 legs) made for walking, running, dancing, squatting & swimming, not 4 tucking under a desk, let 2 atrophy while u get sucked in2 the artificial light of a VDT (video display terminal) like a stunned moth.

  • I started watching this and your facial hair threw me off so much. But I kind of like it now... it only took eight minutes to convince me

  • lol for a moment i thought the backround was fake. luckiest guy ever!!!!!!!

  • Totally off-topic, but you're hot. Jussayin'

  • If you're reading this, congratulations on your literacy.

  • Love you, Durian because you have helped me realize that I'd rather eat all the colorful vegetation that God intended me to eat and say no to murder and torture and diseases:) (just get rid of the plastic bottle) I don't like drinking water from plastic bottles unless there is no other water. I drink faucet water from Southern California and I squeeze lemon or lime in it. What do you say about that, Durian? btw I'm another person you saved healthwise, (my family too) thank you so much! xxoo

  • what about vegetables?

    and diabetes?

  • Comment removed

  • I think hanging out on a beach living on fruit and enjoying yourself in such a non-violent way IS contributing to the greater good of the planet! Your just going above & BEYOND that with Your vids and message of peace!! Thanks for Your videos;) Peace

  • I agree with the showering, but not much else.

  • Its weird... Fruit fills me up really fast compared to cooked food... I eat one pints worth of pineapple and am good for the whole schoolday, but I need tons n tons of cooked food to feel satisfied.

  • Lol ur hair is awesome.

  • THANK YOU!! :-D

  • Great video Harley. I just started watching your videos half an hour ago, going to have to go through them. I really like your message and the way you get the information across in a no BS fashion, you're funny too.

I heard about you from Dan's channel (the life regenerator)

Peace man, trying to improve myself everyday, I've subscribed too. I'd say 'take care' like us brits do, but I have a feeling there is no point in saying that to you.. heh

  • Theres nothing wrong with honey in my opinion im a raw foodist and im about 95% raw and i believe even though bee products such as honey, propolis, bee pollen, and royal jelly is not vegan i believe it has amazing benefits on the human body and therefore i consume them sparingly"

  • Harley, you and Freelea have helped me understand this lifestyle better than anyone else. Thank you for the time and energy you put into the hope that others will catch on to this lifestyle. You guys are fantastic people and I feel grateful to have found you!

  • Sugar kills. Douchebag. Durianrider, Frederic Pantenaude and Doug Graham, KNOW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING - They live in some backwards ass vegan/fruitarian fantasy land. THAT DOESN'T WORK. Listen to any of them, and your health will SUFFER GREATLY.

    What a fucking Tool.

  • @TheFreakonate well, according to his blood tests, athletic perfomance and overall appearance i'd say whatever durian is doing seems to be working. can u go on 200km bike rides? just b/c their eating habits conflict with your way of thinking doesn't mean u should attack them. i can't see myself eating like them either but i appreciate the work they do and results they get.

  • @ftwbk This dude is notorious for attacking others whose lifestyle conflicts with his backwards way of thinking. And, hey, I am all for vegan eating. I love it. And totally support it, but a high fruit diet will eventually be his downfall. Ad It was mine. It's a dangerous diet that flat out doesn't work. Don't listen to these loons. If you do, your health will suffer just as mine did. You'll regret it in the long run.

  • @TheFreakonate ok, we can both agree that durian's style is unique and passionate. i think it's refreshing that he doesn't act like the typical "guru" trying to sell me things. as for a high fruit diet, it might not be for everyone which i know durian has a little problem dealing with. however, just b/c it didn't work for u doesn't mean it's not a sound diet. perhaps u weren't eating enough, getting enough sleep, exercise or sunlight.

  • 80-10-10 is clearly working for durian and he seems satisfied. i just don't have the desire to consume all that fruit but that doesn't mean it's not an optimal diet. i personally am more in favor of a diet like ka sundance's but i'm vegan and he sometimes consumes dairy and honey i think. so, stop hating on durian, we need more honesty in this world and people who speak their minds and expose fake gurus peddling snake oil. btw, can u bike 200km at a time?

  • @TheFreakonate so how did you feel on it? You can message if the response is too long. I did raw vegan for a year but the high fruit doesn't work at all for me

  • @TheFreakonate Your body runs on sugar you idiot. Don't eat anything w/ sugar and see what happens.

  • @HybridD91 If you didn't eat anything with sugar your body would just synthesize it's own from the other foods you eat and you would be fine. Your body is an amazing thing.

  • Where was this Video shot?

  • That MUST be one of the 30 bananas a day.

  • Thank you for your words of wisdom.

  • Wow he's patronizing, self-serving,arrogant, smug but once you get past all that ...nah sorry I didn't and am walking away with a very negative perception of "fruitarians" good job at spreading the word mate the Che Guevara of the raw food movement... Not

  • i love this video. might be my favorite of yours

  • i seriously love you for doing this

  • @sanalicious Ask your self this question 'How come ALL the health 'gurus' that say you cant be a vegan cos you wont get enough B, protein, minerals etc ALL sell B, protein powders, minerals etc? LMFAO. ;)

Your right, cancer thrives off sugar and so does EVERY cell that makes up the 100 trillion in your body. Cutting down on fruit sugar is like cutting down on breathing cos you might have an asmtha attack. Treat the cause NOT the symptom silly billy. :)

  • @durianriders FUCK YOU ARE DELUDED. I cannot wait to see when you break down, it will be any time now. And when you do, I am sure you will blame someoutside force, not this dietary insanity you are preaching. PATHETIC LOSER.

The 801010 diet is a cover for an EATING DISORDER... watch?v=vSi_iJc3iSM

  • @sanalicious haha I love how you say "You obviously don't know much on human nutrition" and then you say "where are your 18 amino acids?". THERE ARE 20 AMINO ACIDS.

  • @sanalicious What you say seems to make sense, but I remember when I was in grammar school, my 5th grade teacher told me about her daughter who had some kind of illness as a young girl, and the only thing she could eat was bananas. These apparently gave her everything she needed nutritionally. Strange, huh?

  • @sanalicious "CANCER THRIVES ON SUGAR" You're a fucking moron.

  • @sanalicious - look it up - cancer thrives on FERMENTED sugar. You got it half right.

  • @sanalicious its comments like this that actually make me think..." is this true, will this happen if i do this. does this person know what they are talking about or is what harley i saying true?". its messes with my decision. i do believe what harley says but i just hate seeing comments like this one that makes you question things.

  • @sanalicious Cancer is caused by acids, not sweet fruit. Body pH must be alkaline. Read Dr. Morse's book.

  • @sanalicious You are very right - it's a shame that durianrider uses VOTING BOTS and FAKE YOUTIBE ACCOUNTS to manipulate comments and ratings. You speak truthfully, but I know you have been blocked as is anyone that presents facts that show how bad the 801010 diet it. Please look at the channel not801010 which reveals the truth and dangers of the 801010 'diet'. Spread the word if you want the thruth out there.

The 801010 diet is a cover for an EATING DISORDER... watch?v=vSi_iJc3iSM

  • love the advice

  • hahaha you're so funny. especially because what you're saying makes complete sense. it's actually really inspiring!

  • I guarantee that if all yo do is eat fruit, you'll eventually get sick and die.

  • I ate 2 bananas for br

  • @theRoseofmyheart whoops - I hit the wrong button! I meant to say breakfast. It is a good start right?

  • LFRV FTW

  • Hey Harley, can't wait to see you in Melbourne tonight with Miss Organic - i'll bring the Dateorade - should be a ripper of a night

  • lol "That's too much sleep" "Do you want to live?"

"sleep, water, sugar. sugar, water, sleep." :)

  • You're looking sexier lately!!! What's different?

  • @todaysfocus he's trying to look like DW growing some facial hair, and head hair. :D

  • ok

  • Hi Harley! I totally agree on eating enough carbs and eating very little protein and fat. As I continue to hone my diet, I am looking into vitamins and trace minerals. I supplement b12 as everyone should, I supplement E and D (though I kno I could get them naturally). The other vitamins are readily available in vegan foods. However, I have been looking into trace minerals like calcium, zinc and phosphorous what vegan sources do you recommend for those? Should I supplement them?

  • You keep mentioning eating rice in your videos. Can you explain this concept? I would think white or brown rice #1 is cooked and #2 is a complex carb. Nowhere would this be allowed by Dr. Graham in the 811 diet.

  • you make me *smile*

  • GREAT STUFF - VERY CONVINCING - GREA INSPIRATION - CLEAR WORDS - I WILL KEEP THAT ON MY FRIDGE: SLEEP WATER SUGAR!!!!! LOVE THAT!!!!

THANKS FOR YOUR INSPIRATION - KEEP AT WHAT YOU'RE DOING, YOU'RE DOING A GREAT SERVICE TO PEOPLE!

  • Look at the sky!!! :)

  • I LOVED THIS VID! Keep cutting through the bullshit. Your swearing is this is epic. I'm putting this vid on my ipod!

  • and Essene Gospel of Peace recommends raw dairy and fasting and eating LESS. Was just wondering.

  • @VideoGamesSuck1 AKA anorexia disguised as 'healthy eating'.

  • @durianriders rather it's fat phobia, cooked food phobia, overeating and drinking far too much water that you have. And everyone who eats according to their hunger is "anorexic" and everyone who drinks according to their thirst is "dehydrated". If this diet is so great, why aren't you the best runner in the world cause u say we're all dehydrated and our glucose is ROCK BOTTOM.

  • @VideoGamesSuck1 check out the liferegenerator. hes actually going through a huge fast right now posting videos daily. the essen gospel of peace is what he says got him into raw foods

  • hey dude I'm not a carb phobic and I believe it's fine if you eat tons of fruits a day, but what about fat phobia? There are raw vegan sources for fats, and don't fats get turned into carbs anyway? And u can eat raw grain cereals which have more carbs than fruit.

  • @VideoGamesSuck1 i think the key to fruit carbs v other carbs comes down to how much energy you want your body to use in living v digesting? the lighter the food (faster to digest) the more energy you will get 'cause the body has more energy to use for living and other vital processes - the heavier, more complex the carbs (fats also fall into this category), the more energy your body has to use in digesting, leaving you tired, listless, & with much less energy to get through the day...

  • You're an inspiration man, keep churning these vids out ; )

  • i always thought i need a coffee in the morning to get my digestion going.. but one liter of water before breakfast works much better and feels better.

    Great Man..Great Videos.. beautyful beach..

  • what about losing important kalium threw excessive hydration

  • HARLEY, I was arguing the point of health points of veganism and vegetarianism. I heard that you cant get the full amino acid chain(???) for body-building from plants and fruits or that it was very hard to supplement yourself threw various vitamins and yada yada. I also heard that there is few and far apart of vegan atlehtes, how many are there really?

  • @TheKala321 Hey man, Ive been vegan for about 7 years now. In the past I was in pretty bad shape. drugs depression. I ate kebabs for breakfast and hungry jacks for lunch. Eventually I went vegan with a small fruit breakfast. Since I discovered Harley's videos 2 years ago. I have put on 17 kg of muscle mass. I just ate lots of fruit which gave me amazing amounts of energy. I have grown to love exercise. Im now 95kg and have not been sick in 7 years. Prior to that I got colds and the usual.

  • I love how all of your vids start with "People say to me - HARLEY!! blah blah blah" or "People ask me - Harley!! blah blah..." Nice signature you've got there :)

  • You are so inspiring Harley :)

  • Looks amazing where you are, thanks for the vid and the inspiration x

  • I just had to run to the kitchen to get a really ripe native (Bahamian) banana, your description sounded so good!! MMmmm

  • excellent vid. i love the analogies you use. it's nice that you are able to dumb it down for meatheads.

  • word....

  • Great video, very positive and less making people feel bad about themselves.

  • Keep em coming mate

  • I am transitioning to 811 and the ironic thing is, so far my only real problem has been that here at the start it's difficult managing to eat ENOUGH, just because of the sheer volume of food required. What a nice problem to have compared to worrying about every calorie like it's the enemy. And BTW, I've already seen a huge energy increase and slightly clearer skin, less than a week in. It just keeps getting better as I get my calories closer to optimal. :)

  • sweet.

altho i hate to tell you the plastic bottles you use are made with animal fat. also on the other side, plastic ends up in that ocean killing thousands of animals.

you have such a great strong vegan ethic and vegan voice, please speak out about the animal suffering caused by plastic.

  • @ZeBeFruity Money is made from plastic here in Australia. Food is shipped in plastic. Superfoods are shipped in plastic. Your touching plastic now and so am I. IMPOSSIBLE to live in a world where your not using plastic or requiring someone else to use plastic so you can live. That said, unavoidable usage of plastic doesnt justify avoidable usage. Bit like killing animals. You wont see me using a plastic bag to carry one item and then trash it.

Life without plastic in 2011? Impossible.

  • @durianriders Having Googled Plastic bottles and animal fat I cannot find any sources that state animal fat is in plastic bottles. Is this true or urban myth?. (Nice video.)

  • I like it!

  • Great vid, thanks.

  • Thanx for this kinder, gentler vid. : ) Sometimes honey (woops, dates) work better than bee stings and AK47s. :D Love it!!!

  • Awesome

  • great vid.. one of your best. ALWAYS better to tell people what they SHOULD do, who they SHOULD follow, the things they SHOULD eat vs. coming at it from all the things they should resist like wolfe, vitalis, low carb, etc. the things we fight come back that much stronger to us (lawsuits are a good example). be PRO all the things you love, like in this video. MUCH more powerful and clear. one of my fave vids :-)

  • your purpose is to make fun of people on youtube.... cherio mate!

  • Harley this video is AWESOME...you are inspiring me! Thanks!

    :)

    Kat

  • You are definitely my favorite Harley, love love your attitude towards life and nutrition and your attitude in general, keep up the great work man!! :)

  • You love bananas..

  • Harley, you've hit the nail on the head - people just don't want to believe how simple it is. Peace - Mike

  • what beach is that?? love the new vid format--much more professional.

  • @kycanton87 Its on a remote island near Davao City, Philippines.

Hey, I aim to be FAR from professional. I aim more for honesty, integrity and truth. ;)

  • this is what i NEEDED=)!

  • As long as I have my Body wash shampoo and conditioner I don't mind showering with salt water LOL

  • Pretty beach I love Thailand

  • springs sprung here and there's wild greens everywhere, no freakkin narnas though

    -needs me closer equator perhaps..

  • you make sense to me! thank you ^^

  • if i could find non commercially grown bananas in AUST id eat therm every day! living under the tropics means we end up with unripe bananas 6 weeks old and gassed with all kinds of crap to make them look good...... :(. and whats worse is nearly all of adelaide bananas come from WA!!!!!!! not QLD and because of shit in QLD with the weather we now have to pay 15$ a kg for them:( :( sounds like the banana industry saw your vid on colostrum and went hmmmm maybe we can make bananas 170$/kg

  • @Eluneminati Just suck it up and put some dareorade in the tank!

  • @Eluneminati Like Jbrah said: Datorade is the bomb. Im drinking 40 organic medjool dates now. Hey, organic bananas only use etheylene gas to speed up the ripening process. Etheylene gas is fine. Go research it.

Im eating QLD organic bananas. Not sure Ive ever actually seen an organic WA banana in SA.

The ONLY food in SA that is not commercially grown on any level = shark. So go naked swim'n in the gulf and catch a shark like you would in nature and eat it. There you go. Problem solved! ;)

  • @durianriders hehe. ill have to check this datorade out :) ty. oh even though they cost a bit, my health is more important than money so i havnt stopped eating them its just to costly to buy lots all the time as it is one of my fav fruits. LOL id reather naked box a kangaroo than try to catch a shark, least a kangaroo i am in my element too :P

  • @Eluneminati $15/kg??? In the US we pay $.49/lb (2.5 lbs in a kilo). I think I'm going to get into the banana business and sell you some!! WOW!

  • @zigzigerblat hehe they are now at about $11 per kilo. the highest i actually saw was $13:95 but my housmate had seen them for $14:85 . i cant prove anything but i think HAARP found one of our fruit growing regions..... alot of US produce hit our markets that week

  • @zigzigerblat Food in Australia is very expensive compared to the States. Mangoes are 3 or 4 $ each. Apples 4 to 7 per kilo. Oranges (californian imports) the same 4 to 7 $ per kilo. Green beans well over $10 per kilo.

  • @tblaxxable I just bought a flat (16) small yellow mangos for $11.00 at that asian market here in Cleveland. Apples $1.50/lb California Oranges: 8lb bag for $4.99 or $.39/ea. I am getting green beans for $1.50/lb! Wow, I guess if you don't mind living in Cleveland, OH (which does suck) it is easy to be raw vegan.

  • @zigzigerblat I love the asian market!!! I usually go there for Nori when I am in town (I'm from Cleveland too!)

  • @HerbalEranah Good Harvest is number one! Wow, we should meet up when you come to town! I'll pm you my email.

There are almost no raw vegans in Cleveland.
