Is it any surprise that the US is emulating the Chinese stance on internet access? A "single secure online account" means that it will be much simpler to control access to sites like Wikileaks and to trace online political activity. This is the beginning of the end of free access to information in the US. The Chinese system of political tyranny linked to laissez faire capitalism is extremely attractive to those who run the world.
