This thing is a joke. At a cost of let's say $2.50 per rider, this train will have to carry 7500 passengers 365 days a year for 50 years to cover the $338million *already spent* on this thing. Nevermind all the salaries of the drivers, maintenance crew, etc (which, if I know the city of Norfolk, are WAY up there). I believe it holds around 65 passengers, so to serve 7500 non-existent riders per day, the train will need to make 115 one-way trips at full capacity.
Most definitely. What I am hoping is that it will reduce traffic that is normally filling all those lanes on that interstate. I think it will definitely help things out, and bring more attention to the area.
