Weed is not safe. I know quite a few medical practictioners and weed is among one of the most dangerous drugs available today. Even MADD has stated that the impairments caused by booze equals that of weed. Weed slows response time which could cause a car accident, this guy is dumb. Not to mention the tumors weed causes. As far as I am concerned, weed should remain criminalized because it is a very good source of income for the criminal element. Booze on the other hand, does not fun criminality.
YOU'RE AN IDOT, and probably one of the reasons we have prohibition. If its so dangerous could you please inform me of a single person that had died from marijuana use. Weed only "funds" criminals because the government hasnt regulated it. If cannabis was made legal and taxed there would be no need for criminal involvement. If it was made legal we could do tests and studies and see if marijuana really impairs driving. Legalizing and regulating would solve way more problems than keeping illegal.

We could decriminalize/legalize it and tax it. But that doesnt change the fact that the substance as a whole is not safe, even dangerous. Granted, when used in rare cases and in small doses, weed has no real negative or positive side effects. However over time, prolonged use of even moderate amounts can cause various forms of brain damage. It can cause permanent damage to the memory centre and can even cause psychosis. Google it.

I think you got this right on, marajuana is probably way safer then alcahol, with all the proven causes of kidney and liver damage and mind lapses, drunk driving...while marajuana is just like cigarette. Not to mention if it causes the munchies who benefits from this...the government that right cus we're goona pay more taxes on those foods lol.

Marijuana is unique in terms of its effects compared to other illegal drugs, and I think this reasoning that lumps them together is somewhat of an unfair assessment. While it is not as harmful as it is demonized, marijuana does come with some detrimental health effects, at least with the smoked form. Smoking anything is hard on your lungs, exposes you to more carcinogens, and therefore increases the strain on the health care system. While legalizing would get rid of legal woes with regards to the "innocent" pot smokers, removing all barriers to access would come with corresponding detrimental effects as well.

There is no legal precident that would make this drug illegal. It is illegal because the government is corrupt they spend our tax dollars to lock up people that they cannot prove commited a crime. You think they would have to give at least some evidence to make almost 20 percent of the population criminals.
If you want to trust cannabis growers, and assume that they are using safe amounts of chemicals in their production, than by all means trust marijuana. Though 9 times out of 10, there is a very harmful amount of chemicals and it is VERY dangerous to users. Far less consistent in it's affects than alcohol of tobacco either.
