@frobinhood lol As if you knew Cliff Burton. Cliff never listened to Thrash, he actually listened to Southern Rock and Blues, which is what Load and ReLoad were. Cliff taught the other 3 a lot about chord progression, etc. and if it weren't for him, songs like Fade To Black, Sanitarium, and One wouldn't have happened.

this is what the black album should have been and sounded altogether. from black album onwards they became more blues metal kinda. but pre-black album they where more thrash, which in my opinion is how they should of stayed. death magnetic tried to sound like there old stuff. but sounded more like a bad mixture of load and kill 'em all. the guitar sound and style was ok. but the general pase was far too slow. ok there was a few fast parts in some songs but in general its the same as load

I agree with you. For 20 years now, almost. But you do realise that BEFORE that, they had some of the most amazing thrash metal ever. Whether someone likes them or not, nobody can deny their first four albums. Sure, there were many other bands which were equally good. Some of them were better too. But these guys were the among the best in the 80s. THAT era of theirs is what is their biggest legacy. The rest is nondescript.
