baritones and bass 2 were not heard..basses especially the baritones are necessary in naanto-ay part since they do the melody...chu-ay is a harvest song...pounding effect of rice must present...good obligatto...I'm proud of Pinoy...our pieces are being recognized..tnx to this Singaporean choir...
comments are neither right nor wrong. i have sung this song w/ our choir. that's why i was able to hear the flaws. problems w/ diction & asynchronous movements are understandable given their ages and nationality. i'm actually amazed that they see our pieces as beautiful enough for them to perform. i just viewed their performance as someone who has sang this piece with our choir before. constructive criticism should be welcomed, not rejected.
ang galing magcomment ng aben101781 whatever na yan.,kala mo kung magaling.,mind that creature na wala syang karapatang magcomment coz it's(aben) not the one who made that piece.,pasalamat na lng sha kasi knakanta ng taga ibang bansa ang pinoy chorale piece.,goodness.,imbes na ok na sanang makinig e nakakawalang gana tuloy dahil sa walang katuturang pnagsasabi ng taong yan.,quite abhorring.,
Let us please not be too harsh or critical of this Singaporean choir who has appreciation of our ethnic music. Instead, let us be proud that they took notice of our wealth of musical heritage.
I personally like their rendition and understand completely the minor pronunciation flaw. Walang guarantee that we could sing their own traditional songs na walang palapak na pagbigkas ng salita nila. Kung hindi natin mapigilan ang crab mentality natin, sarilinin na lang natin at biktimahin ang mga Singaporeans na gusto lang naman kumanta ng mga kantang Pinoy. I guess I've raised enough kababayan eyebrows...Peace out.
hindi po ba prang flat? hehehe.. peo cute nmn din ung per.:) we sang this during asian choir games.. see our pe. "Himig Singers-Chua-ay".. we would love to see your comments and suggestions..:)
hehe!! kacute... ambagal.. parang ang sweet nung mga nagtatanim.. parang mga nakasuot ng maria clara ung nagtatanim sa bukid.. puro mahihinhin.. un ung nakikita ko sa musikang ito.. kacute..
your perf. is fine... but i am a filipino and my choir have sang this... your diction is wrong... this is supposed to sound ethnic not classic and it is faster and livelier .... the E in OE sound as like the E in "yes"...a softer E is needed...the FIlipino way or diction.
Hey Samsam! Thanks for uploading the vid! The second round was so obviously out of tune but I thought that it was still a good effort on our part. Haha. Go CJ!!!
Lol yung mga Pilipino wag ngang mag angas. Para namang wala tayong hinihiram na mga piyesa sa ibang bansa. Nakakaasar, ang yayabang
