@TheMFrelly You know what is funny about F35. It has so much computers in it that you dont even need a direct hit with an anti air grenade artillery round. All you need is a nick somewhere below the cabin or nose cone and that plane loses a third of its sensors. Not to mention, the fact the AA systems these days(the ones relying on unguided projectiles) are older than most other artillery systems, is a testament to the vulnerability of even the modern airplanes.

Yes. The finnish defence forces has quite a bit of russian equipment.

Some systems are already phased out which are in this video. For example the Mig-21 is replaced with F-18 Hornet. THe BUK-M1 is beign replaced with NASAMS.

However the ZU-23-2 and NSV will propably be in use for many years.

Note that the Marksman turret is on T-55 tank.

When I was in the military we still had T-72m1 tanks. Now we have Leopard 2A4.

I think BMP-2's are still in use.

@2009Infidel NASAMS-II is going to be the new AA-system, is that junk? and also, the BUK-M1 that we currently use, is combat proven, unlike the NASAMS, BUK-M1 has shot down several aircraft, including 3 SU-25's and one TU-22M bomber in Georgia.

I don't know much about this new Norwegian system that the FDF has invested in, other than it is a medium ranged air-defence system, developed and well suited for Nordic/Finnish conditions. The BUK-M1, on the other hand, is outdated and uses old Soviet technology from the 1970's that is prone to succumb to jamming and modern electromagnetic interference tactics, used against anti aircraft missiles today.

Esimerkisi swedut on hoitanu asian aika helvetin mallikkaasti. Niillä on Gotlantii, Visbyä, Archeria, Jasia, mikä toi niiden at-raketti on, jne jne. Sitä lähinnä hain tossa. Koska varmasti osaamista löytyis täältä kotomaasta kanssa.

Esimerkiksi uudet miinantorjunta-alukset ostettiin Italiasta, koska telakalla on runsaasti kokemusta kyseisestä alustyypistä.

Suomi on oletusarvoisesti "hyvien" puolella, joten kalustoa todennäköisesti saadaan lisää myös kriisiaikana.

Ja mitä tulee tohon pieneen budjettiin, niin eipä sitä ole ollut testissä sitten toisen maailmansodan. Ja silloinki oli aika vaatimaton budjetti. Varuskuntia lakkaututetaan koko ajan Suomessa.

Niin unohtu muuten tosta Ruotsin saavutuksista toi Bofors, siinä on kunnon tykki.

@lintu25, sotalaivojen rakentaminen edellyttää meriteollisuudelta kapealle alalle erikoistumista, enkä usko, että suomalaiset telakat pystyisivät rakentamaan nykyaikaista lentotukialusta. Eivät jenkitkään pysty rakentamaan risteilyaluksia.

Aseteollisuuden kehittämisessä on paljon moraalisia ja eettisiä ongelmia, ja mikäli uusia paukuttimia rakennettaisiin vain "omaan käyttöön", oltaisiin nykyajan kapitalistisessa markkinataloudessa aika tyhjän päällä...

@lintu25 mitä järkee meijä on rakentaa lentotukialus? usko pois siit ei oo mitää hyötyy suomen kapeilla salmilla ja saaristoilla. se tuskin pystyisi liikkumaan. pienet ja nopeet alukset on parhaat meijä vesillä. ku niitä tulee joku muutama yhen lentotukialuksen kimppuun meijä vesillä nii sanoisin että se lentotukialus uppois aika nopeesti. mielummin käytetään ''lentotukialus rahat'' sairaiden ja köyhien auttamiseen. tai sitten rakennetaan enemmän hamina-luokan aluksia tai muita saman tapasia.

Eikä meillä ole paras AK-varintti. Toi meidän on parempi kun AK, huomattavasti tarkempi.

@lintu25, Puolustusvoimilla ei yksinkertaisesti ole riittävästi määrärahoja hankkia riittävästi suomalaisia rynnäkkökivääreitä varastoon. Ja jos rahoja olisi, niille olisi varmasti parempaakin käyttöä - kiinalainen AK-kopio ajaa asiansa siinä tehtävässä, johon se on tarkoitettu.

Mitä "AK-varianttiin" tulee, niin suomalaisten rynnäkkökiväärien pohjana on AK-47, ja koska RK on niin hyvä, niin se on "paras AK-variantti".
