Yeah, im affraid it is illegal. I slow right down and always check at that point... not saying i do it ofc... ;)

@bluenapalm123 Pedestrians do have the right to cross at any time when the traffic isn't flowing. If there is a gap in the traffic they can step onto the crossing and vehicles must give way. The traffic lights are only there to create a gap in the traffic so they may step onto the crossing. If it is a zebra crossing then they have priority over ALL moving traffic. 3 points are available for not stopping or overtaking on the zig zags!

This is why it is ilegal to filter on the zigzag. Be thank full that it was not a mother with pram or a old lady not as quick footed. Ride safe

It is illgal to filter past the last vehicle before the crossing on zig zag lines whether the lights are green or not.
