FDR was a racist who put my people (Japanese-Americans) in concentration camps. My great grandfather was born in the US, had no criminal record, and fought for his country in WWI. He owned a convenience store and was just worrying about taking care of his family when FDR rounded him up and many other Japanese-Americans and put them in camps until the end of the war. My great-grandfather lost his house, his business, and most of everything he worked for.

What Beck fails to mention is that this came on the heels of FDR's G.I. Bill of Rights which gave millions of American G.I.'s the RIGHT to go to college which profoundly affected the future of "The Greatest Generation." He also introduced this radical program as a necessary counterbalance to Republicans who were denying the right to vote to our servicemen overseas in the 1944 presidential election because the overwhelming majority would vote for their Commander in Chief.

What was FDR supposed to do? In the Depression, people were starving to death. Trickle down theory wasn't going to change that (at least in enough time to help those who were the worst off). You didn't really have places you could go back then to get even the basics if you were really bad off.

It's funny because it's logically impossible to be absolutely strict-constructionist towards the Constitution, since if we did only follow exactly what was written, there would be no way to execute expressed powers, since they are not clarified as to how they will be carried out in the Constitution. ie: It would be unconstitutional to establish the structure of the military because it isn't explicitly written how it will be organized.

FDR was a racist who put my people (Japanese-Americans) in concentration camps. My great grandfather was born in the US, had no criminal record, and fought for his country in WWI. He owned a convenience store and was just worrying about taking care of his family when FDR rounded him up and many other Japanese-Americans and put them in camps until the end of the war. My great-grandfather lost his house, his business, and most of everything he worked for.

Apparently Beck didn't actually read the list of Human Rights that Eleanor Roosevelt campaigned for. They were about maintaining Human Dignity. The part about a good job? It wasn't a call for socialism, it was a call for ensuring nobody had to work in dangerous situations for extremely low pay as children in sweatshops. Also they were about ensuring fair trials for all. But, I guess Beck couldn't be bothered to read them...being illiterate and all...its really the only explanation for his idiocy

A piss poor country china was in the past but we may not agree with there form of government but see it worked for the short term and graduated to what we see now china owns us without them we would be in a bad way, new modern cities highly educated people,and keeping their nose out of other countries political problems therefore not making enemies but friends and new business around the world, whatever it is they are kicking butt economically.

What Beck fails to mention is that this came on the heels of FDR's G.I. Bill of Rights which gave millions of American G.I.'s the RIGHT to go to college which profoundly affected the future of "The Greatest Generation." He also introduced this radical program as a necessary counterbalance to Republicans who were denying the right to vote to our servicemen overseas in the 1944 presidential election because the overwhelming majority would vote for their Commander in Chief.

What was FDR supposed to do? In the Depression, people were starving to death. Trickle down theory wasn't going to change that (at least in enough time to help those who were the worst off). You didn't really have places you could go back then to get even the basics if you were really bad off.

It's funny because it's logically impossible to be absolutely strict-constructionist towards the Constitution, since if we did only follow exactly what was written, there would be no way to execute expressed powers, since they are not clarified as to how they will be carried out in the Constitution. ie: It would be unconstitutional to establish the structure of the military because it isn't explicitly written how it will be organized.
