  • R.I.P. Leslie Nielsen. :(

  • Patricia neal was a great actress. Rip

  • RIP You beautiful, beautiful people.

  • I love Celine as much as the next person, but I have to say I think Josh Groban did a better job of this. Might be because I tend to prefer male singers, but it's just my opinion. Nonetheless, she's as elegant and beautiful, and angelic as always!

  • @brandtfan12 Josh Groban is amazing!

  • Simply sublime

  • très belle performance de la part de CELINE notre jolie québécoise BRAVO

  • I think this, with a close second by Yo-Yo Ma's performance in '05, is the best In Memoriam performance.

  • People used to make fun of Celine for the strenuous precautions she took regarding her voice, but when you compare her to most of the other divas of her era, you can hear just how well her voice has held up.

  • Why no clapping?

  • @milkshaker74 It usually becomes a contest of who does or doesn't get the most applause.

  • she is so angelic.....She is the person i strive to be like every single day of my life....there isnt a day that goes by that i dont wish i could meet her.

  • she's got such a pretty vibrato here!!

  • toujours aussi magnifique CELINE, et la chanson lui va comme un gant. MAGNIFIQUE, BRAVO CELINE JE VOUS ADORE.

  • dorothy provine?????

  • @sunset7070 yea theres always a few missing-thanks for mentioning her--she was a great actress-very pretty-she left ,departed on April 25, 2010, in Bremerton, Washington

  • Celine is the best! that's all i can say :))

  • to all haters :

next time u wanna bash at Celine think of this :

    - she is so busy, she doesnt know about Youtube, so GET LOST LOOSER !

  • shes so pretty here - pitty they didnt split the screan to show her more

  • Wheres the fuckin applause? Thats the only reason I watch memorium videos. To see how much the actors get..

  • she doesnt use these notes in her LAS VEGAS gig!? wonder why?

  • Great clip, but why the cut-away before the tribute to Lena Horne?

Just thought I'd ask. And I noticed they didn't mention Corey Haim either.

Still this was one of the best moments of this years Oscars.

  • @Northgalus2002: halle berry gave a special tribute to lena horne

  • I definately got incredibly choked up when they showed Leslie Nielsen. Naked Gun came out when I was 4...and I've been a huge fan of the series my whole life. Also....VERY beautifully sung!

  • Wonderful clip of Leslie Nielsen beaming at 1.07...RIP funny man!

  • she did great on this performance though it's sad the academy forgot Corin Redgrave even though they remembered his baby sister Lynn who passed barely a month after him

  • Where's Corey Haim ?! :'(

  • @TeamRpattz123

    They also forgot Farrah Fawcett

  • @italo36 This makes me sad.... :( They left out two legends.....

  • @italo36 Farrah Fawcett died in 2009. This was covering 2010-early 2011.

  • PERCHE' NON APPLAUDONO PIU' ????????? :((((((((

  • she's so young still. and beautiful!her voice has a kinda magic.love ya celine

  • Absolutely Gorgeous!!!

  • amazing performance ! check out at 2:!5 she gathers her energy to nail that part.

  • I have never seen her so beautiful like this before. Maybe it's because she's not so skinny as before. Really hope she maintain this weight and not go back to her skinny shape again. Her voice is always amazing thou I am never never a fan of hers.

  • Wow, look at all the Celine Dion fans flooding this video with praise. I'd prefer comments on an In Memoriam video to be directed at those dear dead. Not at the background noise from the living.

    Elliott Smith was robbed!!!

  • Celine amazing as usual

  • The best female singer ever by far! OMG what a voice!!!! Only Celine can sing a song the way she does.

  • amazing performance. check out at 2:15 she goes deep inside herself to hit those notes. a true performer.

  • Smile. Michael's favorite song. OMG! I love Michael. I miss him so much!!!

  • Her voice as flawless as always, Celine is the best

  • RIP Leslie Nielsen

  • I was in shock when John Barry was shown. That to me marks the end of all movies to me. I don't think our movies will be as inspirational as it was before. Seeming though the world demands more vengeance rather than peace, i think our society will be facing its own dark ages for its moral hypocrisy of right and wrong. I wouldn't bare trying to live in this crap world to think the world is at its best right now. The problem to me isn't the war, its you guys as consumers as well as technology. RIP

  • Am I the only one who finds it slightly disrespectful to these wonderful people, that they seemed to focus a little less on their performances and work, and more on Celine Dion's singing?

  • @GalacticPenguin it's all about evoking emotion in people. i see nothing wrong with that. i'm curious if you complained in previous years when the academy had people singing for the memorium.

  • Who gives a rats ass about Celine, people died and I wanna know who they were. =I

  • THE SOUND IS TERIBLE what a shame......

  • BORING. do some high notes atleast

  • Where is Corey Hain?

  • @ladydayana

    Haim..

  • @isoeva Thanks for the correction! ;)

  • @ladydayana

    You're welcome :)

  • Only an Angel can sing like this....

    But really, ain't she..?

  • @Unison1990CD i have the same doubt! i think Céline should show us if she has red blood cause i think she's from other planet really!

  • @dreamingofceline Really can't blame you for thinking that way!!:))

  • @Unison1990CD : Now, listen the version of Smile of Michael Jackson !

  • WOW -- I hadn't heard that Susannah York died. Thisis so sad.... she was such a wonderful actress... versatile, totally dedicated to her art, and a beautiful, unique screen presence. A great loss.

  • perfect hd

  • one of the best singers in the world was the last lady to be shown on the big screen, though her name does not appear and that's Lena Horne.

  • she looks more like skeletor every day Jeez. Talent lost rest in peace.

  • Celine is truly amazing in her eyes and in her voice there is unlimited beauty like each and every human! some just have it out there and some others are still struggling with little negative ideas. we should all learn how to express our inner truth to shine like she does!

  • Bad version of the song. Even worse they always leave out names, had they not been so obsessed as usual with showing the singer (this ought to be instrumental anyway) they'd gotten more in there deserving of inclusion. Such as Peter Haskell, Per Oscarsson, John Crawford, Harold Gould, Bruno Cremer, Christopher Cazenove, Gary Coleman, Ingrid Pitt, George DiCenzo, Maury Chaykin, Simon MacCorkindale, Tom Bosley, James Gammon, Lisa Blount, James MacArthur, Jill Haworth, Rue McClanahan, Bruce Gordon.

  • @komodoman Most of those aren't included because this is a memoriam of motion picture talent, not television talent.

  • @pixelbat They have all made plenty of movies.

  • eu estava na cozinha lavando pratos e quando ela começou a cantar eu comecei a chorar.

  • Beautiful... she is beautiful... and the best singer in the world love you celine!

Portugal love ou too... don't forget

  • Is this a fckin joke??? 90 percent of these people were nobodies in the film industry. Wheres Corey Haim?!

  • @jghor23 stfu you cunt

  • @jghor23 Ur a fucking joke. John Barry is one of the greatest 20th century composers. He wrote the James Bond theme which defined James Bond as a whole. Corey Haim is nothing but a loser who only got fame in The Lost Boys and who is a drug addict just on the age of 15. From that, I conclude that you're nothing but a loser, teen drug addict who doesn't have taste in music and in movies. BTW, you know who's a nobody? YOU ARE!

  • @idioticscheme666 Wow, you mentioned one name on the list out of how many. And read the comment stupid ass. It said 90 percent! I know who John Barry is. And hes more remembered for his Dances with Wolves score that won him an OSCAR moron.

  • @jghor23 I love you. <3 <3 ♥ ♥

  • @idioticscheme666 I love you too

  • @jghor23 Whatcha wearin?

  • When her voice softens starting at 2:35 - yeah, that's the Celine that brings tears to my eyes. Greatest singer ever.

  • celine sei bellissima fantastica meravigliosa e la tua voce beh ke dire ............ti amooooooooooooooo

  • Great performance.. But i think the version by Michael Jackson is better. :)

  • @RBKp3 why?

  • RIP <3
