I believe some performers with careers on the concert stage preferred not to associate themselves with more vernacular, popular music and acquired pseudonyms for the latter repertoire. But in this case, I believe Victor simply wanted a black label replacement for an existing black label version. At this time, Kline and Murphy were blue label artists, so their real names were not used.
All of these are from my collection of 78's. It seems that most collectors don't want these old hymns, so they are usually cheap to buy. I enjoy them so much, this one reminds me so much of the church I went to. I will be posting many more in the future.

Do you still have room in your garage for your car, or is stacked with boxes full of old records ? (LOL)

I have them on shelves in my bedroom closet and in the bedroom. I would put them in the garage but it gets too warm in there during the summer.
