I bought one of these for my sony ericsson W810i, cut the sim so it fit, but when I power it on with the new sim+unlock adaptor, it tells me to insert a sim card and I cant access any of the phones features except making an emergency call, and although it lets me type other numbers in, it won't let me call them. It is definitely compatible as I have checked the list of tested phones before I bought it.

that thing is awesome, only downside is that you need to use a hole punch to punch a hole where the EEPROM will go :( but it's ok, it doesn't damage you SIM, it just makes it look ugly

so basicly, it tricks the phone into thinking into its a different network than the SIM card right? cuz I have an LG chocolate and its impossible to find a unlock code. So I was hoping this might help meh

Are you on Verizon in the US? If so, then you can't unlock your LG chocolate. Verizon phones use CDMA wireless technology, not GSM, so they don't even HAVE SIM cards. For this to work, you need a GSM phone (AT&T, T-mobile, and most cell carriers outside of the US) that has a SIM card slot.

Cara ele somente desbloqueia enquanto estiver com o chip i-smartsim, se tirar nao fica desbloqueado, volta a ficar bloqueado pela operadora.
