Rev's Photo Ready is by fair my favorite foundation ever!!! if your having issues with it looking 'chalky' its because its thicker than alot of other foundations ive come across, try applying it with a big brush (like a powder brush) that you've misted once or twice with water. Ive had professional photos done, used this foundation for them and it was flawless not chalky :)
I bought the revlon photoready & I hate the sparkle in it I have to mix it with my fit me foundation just so I dont look like a disco ball in the dark . Also the photoready makes me oily -.-
I like color stay a lot better than photoready if anybody is wondering , photoready has some glitter in it btw , i think Color stay has better coverage as well.
I use all 3 , (not at the same time) but I love color stay the most , photo finsh isn't the best it depends the on the light , but I mix my fit me with loation it works better, but I hate that it rubs off so easy.
Thank god! I thought I was the only one who had this problem with the Photo Ready foundation by Revlon... It always comes out too chalky in pictures !!! It feels great on my skin but I feel like I look like Casper in my pictures..And I stopped wearing it!!
The Photoready is NOT for taking photos. Its a light reflecting foundation only!! I dont like it because it makes my pores that more visible. Great video hun!! xoxo
@tygress1 really? They advertise is as a foundation to take pictures with (complete with Halle Berry posing for paparazzi) LOL. LIES!! Thanks for the compliment. Glad you liked it.
@TheAensing I would imagine so. Studio Fix is super thick and has FULL coverage. Idk that I'd wear anything under it due to that but great tip. Thanks doll.
@bkmartinez123 As I was looking at you, I knew you looked like someone, but I didn;t know who...but not Kim Kardashian at all. I think you look like a cross between Cher (when she was yonger) and Angelina Jolie. I think that is way better than Kim.
@2SweetBlondes I have to disagree. Great product but not the end all to what is great with makeup. There are several amazing lines out there. However, I have recently been testing out the Pro last from M.A.C and it's pretty dang good. lol.
The problem I have with Fit Me Foundation is that is makes me look so so so oily! I already have a problem with oily skin, but this made me look like I was a sweaty pig..
@ilovejasonmann ohhhh, ok. I have extremely dry skin. So that would make sense. I don't know what a good option would be for oily skin. What is your favorite foundation?
i hate fit me foundation. its soo watered down when i put it on it creates wrinkles and fades too fast. revlon photoready without powder is the best ive continued to use it time after time
I used the maybeline fit me foundation and powder a couple of times during the summer and it made me break out and sweat a LOT!!! And I hated it for a while then I started using it the past weeks and I love it!! I think I'll keep on using it during the winter! But is def not an option for hot wether!
@melss90 Really? I've never heard that before. I'll have to keep my eye on that and see if I notice a difference. I have super dry skin though, so maybe that's why I haven't noticed it.
my favourite is the maybelline fit me and the revlon photoready foundations. I use the photoready when i go out in th night and the maybelline during the day
@maryjaade OMG..I had no idea! Thank you for letting me know that. Looks like I need to research these companies before I purchase thier merchandise. I will now be sticking to Revlon.
@kamilarv15 I'd say it last a good 8hrs (when I set it with powder), applied alone it only lasts me about 4-5 hrs. This foundation is def for those who like light/natural looking makeup. For long nights/long wear I'd use the Revlon Colorstay. It has more pigment and lasts 10-12hrs alone. However, it does feel thicker on. Both are beautiful on though. Hope this helps :)
if any of you guys have acne and redness you should really go and get the covergirl trublend it covers really great and its like 12$ at the drugstore or walmart its great!
I got the fit me foundation and it looks great it's does give that natural look thank you for the help I'm not so nervous about senior portraits tomorrow now :)
Does the maybelline fit me foundation look good in photos? Because I want to buy the photo ready by revlon but I've heard that it does give that chalk effect in the face and I definitely don't want that for senior portraits
@AlexSandrA201 fit Me looks amazing in photos, just be sure that whatever you set it with, if you do use powder over it, is talc free. Also, fit Me has light coverage and gives a natural finish. If you're looking for a lot more coverage try revlon colorstay or loreal infallible. Those two are amazing and stay put a long time.
@xbrigettex you know, I never noticed the scent until you said something! lol. Yes, the colorstay also has some fragrance to it. Do you love foundations only, or have you tried any powders? Loreal just came out with the infallible powder which you can apply with a dry sponge for a light coverage or wet the sponge for a foundation finish. Works very well for me and I haven't noticed any fragrance with it. Hope this kinda helps you out :)
hey there gorgeous :) great review! im happy your honest about the revlon photoready and said your honest opinion about it, and it lets your viewers know that you are a trustworthy guru :) my question is, does the revlon colorstay give that white cast over your face in photos? does it look natural in photos...? thankyou :)
@caatheriinex thanks! The Revlon Colorstay looks amazing in photos, which is why I prefer to wear it when I go out and know that pics will be taken (hehe). Just be sure that if you set the foundation with powder, that it's "talc free". that's what gives the ugly ghost effect or white cast. I recommend a translucent powder. Most drugstore ones work very well (like sonia kashuk, covergirl, etc) and they won't break the bank. It's not required however, as this foundation stays put like a charm ;)
@bkmartinez123 thankyou so much! i'm gonna try out the foundation because of your review and recommendation! oh i learnt something from you, talc free okay thankyou so much! your the best, *subscribes* :)
@1942evelyn oh okay, gotcha ;) For the maybelline superstay I would do the true beige or Natural Tan, depending on how tan you want to be. The MAC NC's tend to be compatible to any of the 'beige" families in drugstore foundations, so those are the ones that I stick to, and I wear NC40-NC45. Also, I usually buy a few different shades in each foundation just for day/night and if I happen to get a lot of sun the day before. Hope this helps and isn't so broad.
@1942evelyn sorry for the late response doll, I use the revlon colorstay when I want full coverage. Also, do you use any primer, or anything to set your makeup once you're done? What product/color were you wearing from MAC?
