it happened to me but it was in guarantee, when the new one arrived i sell it the first day for 100€ it's less than the official price but i didn't had the problem again and i still playing with my big nds (the old one, but the screen now turns green) another problem of nintendo, i'm not buying anithing from them now but i've still got the wii with no issue :)
