ff6 battle theme was more catchy and, umm... i guess the other word i'm looking for could be "exciting." However, ff5 battle theme has a real good, nostalgic bass line.
a lotta old ff games had real good music with real good bass lines :)
p.s. the intro of the ff5 battle theme sounds like airship music lol.

Hell yeah, right on man. I mean VII and VIII are fun, but no where near as imaginative as IX.
In fact, Nobuo Uematsu has said several times that the score for FFIX is his most prized accomplishment :)
