  • i have the same organ hammond concorde.i have all tne factory service manuals

on it .i have it hook uo tp a leslie 3300 .sounds real nice.

  • you are lucky man

  • I am getting this exact organ. Can I make it sound like a B3?

  • Just to clarify, the Hammond Concorde is NOT mechanically generated.. It is MDD generated, with (if I'm not mistaken) 480 divider/keyers.

MDD is an acronym for Multi-Derivitive Divider, which is essentially Top Octave Synthisis.

  • This was one of the very first electronic organ with LSI (Large Scale integrated) circuits. Hammond went to using transistors in the late 1960's incorporating them along with the Tone Wheel generators. The Concord was developed in 1973, with no tone wheel as tone wheel generators were replaced with LSI oscillators.

  • yeah um is that piano tuned?

it sounds honkey tonk and usually honkey tonk means its untuned...

  • I need one! I"m a gifted ear player send it to me.....

  • i HATE DIS ORGAN. I HAVE TO PLAY IT AT CHURCH EVERY SUNDAY. I LIKE B3 SO MUCH BETTER

  • You afraid of learning new things? lol The Concorde can be a nightmare to service, but when they play correctly it has a lot of toys for a (rolling in the isles and swinging from the chandeliers) Gospel Service...

  • Hi retrochad that is an awesome organ its the top of the line at the time. To clean the connectors brasso works the best iv found and a can of electronic connector cleaner with the tube on the sprayer will clean those drawbars nicely. I wish I were there to help, Iv done my own and a couple freinds for them. Cant wait to hear you playing it! Good luck! Oh the green or blue tabs with numbers, control the percussion, I have 3 on my Hammond Grande 11100

  • No no no! Use Caig DeOxit Spray followed by Caig Pro-Cold never use anything abrasive.

  • Damn!Lol where the hell do you keep so much old

    stuff?!Great find here.

  • These are some of the best LSI organs out there, in my opinion. I played one at a dealers once, and it was quite impressive.

  • Too bad the don't have power out there...

Aside from being out of tune, that piano has nice tone for a spinet. It should fix up real nice. Great song too!

  • I really want to get this stuff out of the storage unit ASAP...they specifically prohibited plugging in electrical appliances in the lease! The piano action works very well. It's not too far off pitch so it should tune easily.

  • I dont know how many watts you would need but you could always try a car battery and an inverter.

  • cool. The sound of that piano reminds me of old wild west town bars.

  • Thanks! I've always liked that honky tonk sound.

  • Absolutely wonderful!! Both are beautiful!!

  • Do yourself a favor, and get a can of DeOxit. You'll most likely need to clean the edge connectors of the circuit boards in the organ. If not, you'll hear static crashes resembling a thunderstorm, or you might have parts of the organ go dead. That's the worst problem those organs had, were those connectors. It's nicknamed "LSI Disease".

  • Thanks for your suggestions...I haven't worked on a solid state hammond until this one but have lots of experience with the tonewheel models. I got a quick test of it at the church and it had some noise so I will make sure to do a contact cleaning.

  • @retrochad WOAH! Careful, if your drawbars are plastic, DeOxit will eat them within a couple years.

  • That storage unit looks like a shipping cargo box (people have made houses out of them!).

The Concorde was one of the first to use ic's and it's probably lighter than the tonewheel versions.
