  • ok heres d best thing 2 do. if ur running ipsw 4.2.1 and latest baseband, u dont need to fix it on other computer just follow these steps..

1: uninstall itunes and all of its components like apple usb device ETC.

2: run snowbreeze for 4.2.1 and create a custom ipsw.

  • i have the same problem man.. been trying all kinds of ridiculous methods for around 5 hours now... still no luck. I always get stuck at the running pineapple, or if it's a custom package install it gets stuck at the normal pineaple. can't restore with itunes. can't kick the phone out of recovery with recboot. im starting to think maybe the phone broke somehow.

  • @StyleKrong did you figure it out, having the same problem, itunes isnt even recognizing the iphone now.

  • @StyleKrong did you ever figure this out, im having the same problem now

  • @ykhan95

Yea I did, although my memory is a little foggy on the details. I definetely did a factory reset though, and that seemed to fix the problem. Actually now that I think about it I remember exactly what I did...

Reinstall Itunes, THEN do a factory reset. If that doesn't work let me know and I'll try and give you some more help. I was really worried the first time the happened, but once you get it working it's COMPLETELY worth it.

  • Hey thanks guys... no problem your welcome!! If you've guys got any questions feel free to ask

  • Just like Jsonvillain said above.

Open itunes SHIFT click restore and insert your default ipsw. usually the highest and restore. at the end you will recieve an itunes error. Ignore that. Now just redsow it back up and wham your in good hands! Thanks alot Jsonvillaim your going to make alot of people happy!

  • @jeremyexodus1 not sure what you mean, my itunes doesnt even recognize the iphone anymore, when i say recognize i mean the icon doesnt show up in my device bar

  • i think i figured it out,

    1. put the phone into DFU mode with red snow.

    2. Restore the phone to a new or current ipsw

    3. attempt jailbreak again with out baseband update

    4. worked like a charm.

if i wanted to update the baseband i could with redsnow without installing cydia again.... thanks for nothing youtue....

but hope this is of some help to anyone seekin answers..

    PEacE !!!
