Tim, eres un excelente arreglista. Es posible notar una fuerte influencia del jazz norteamericano en el estilo del piano (no sé si lo hayas agregado con todo el propósito); esto le da un tono más cosmopolita al tango que ejecutan, en verdad este arreglo me encantó!

Por cierto, Caeli es una violinista hermosa!

No soy jazzpianista, pero mi influencia mas fuerte en el estilo para piano aqui es Ziegler (no porque es jazzpianista, pero porque el tocaba con Piazzolla); es cierto que hay elementos cosmopolitas en todos composiciones de Piazzolla, es la hermosidad (correcto?) en el estilo, no? En cualquier caso, soy ingles, entonces...quien sabe?

Jajaja. Bueno, sentí eso al escuchar tu arreglo. Sin embargo, me pareció de lo más claro que nos dijeras tu influencia marcada por Ziegler. Aún así, no lo sé; quizá haya algo de Inglés en tu precioso arreglo, vuelvo a repetir, hace al tango cosmopolita, tal como Piazzolla lo ha hecho. Estoy impresionado por tu muy buen español :)

Sigue trabajando en arreglos como este, y espero que también compongas algo nuevo e interesante. Estaré presto a escucharlo :)

Caeli, tell us about the sting you put on the end of the piece (the glissando from the high note). It's not in the score I have. What gave you the idea for it, and what note do you start on. Bravo to you, Tim, also for your arrangement and wonderful accompaniment.

very nice, but I agree with qschoice, the piano is somehow too loud, should be more in the background. Consider that Piazzolla wrote it for flute and guitar, which has a less emerging sound..

Thanks for your feedback. I happen to be writing a PhD on Piazzolla's music and have researched his major works thoroughly. Tango musicians always emphasize the equal expressive roles of the instruments in any ensemble. I don't hear any problems with balance or clarity here, although any pianist needs to exercise taste and caution with energetic music. But to mimic the guitar completely defeats the point of arranging; the trick is to preserve the ideas in a new sonic context.

Fantastic performance on the violin again.

Very nice piano arrangement as well, but a tad too loud and pulls the attention away from the violin lead part imho. If it could be played a bit more subtle, it's a perfect arrangement.
