I would love to see venus still teh show this year at the open while Serena is out. Do you think Venus has another major or two in her this late in her career or do you think she is pretty much washed up?

@nickelwindow53 Venus will only ever win another Wimbledon she dosent have the speed to take out any other slam and yes Venus can win at wimbledon because theres no one on tour better than her on grass other than Serena

@nottys92 Is it just age thats slowed her down? I would guess thats why she doesnt move on hard courts quite aswell anymore. I am willing to bet both williams sisters will return this year at Wimbledon, which is smart. Why would they come back to the French knowing they dont have a chance to win it.

@nickelwindow53 I think its a mix between age and nagging knee injuries shes had for a while and every injury she gets from here on out only brings her closer to retirement....

@nottys92 You know you are so right I didnt think about that. that makes since. When you are an athlete its years of wear and tear and injury and reinjury on your body so that would bring you closer to retirment. I heard one time that athletes bodies age like 10 fasters than ours. When they are 30 its like the body of a 40 year old. crazy huh

@nickelwindow53 Yeah its believable i mean think about it the average person isint running on a court for most of there 20's........ and as for venus she may be 31 but her body is well older than that as you said but her mentality of knowing she can beat anybody on a good day keeps her feeling fresh and competitive so inspiring!

@nottys92 yeah and Serenas mentality is better than Venus! I always felt Venus is mentaly tought, but Serena is so much tougher.

@nottys92 LOL I know right! From what I have heard both Williams have what I like to call there own style on tour. They say they dont really socialize with many other players on tour they stay to themsleves and really only come to locker room for matches and go home with each other. They say they dont get into the politics and clicks on tour! I dont see anything wrong with being like that. Thats how I am on my job. People just hate them.

@nickelwindow53 Yeah and i think alot of the anger comes from the medias portrayal of them those 2 women have single handedly brought womens tennis too the spotlight when i was growing up and you asked me to name a tennis player the only names i could of given you is Pat rafter, Lleyton Hewitt (Im Australian haha) and Venus and Serena Williams.... They have popularised tennis like no others!

@nottys92 Good point They got me into Tennis i started watching and actually playing the sports based on being such a fan of these two alone. Before them I didnt know what a fault was....lol...nor did I care to know and I am sure many others feel the same way.

@nickelwindow53 Im actually liking it im really pushing for Sam Stosur! Um i think Venus will definatly be there but as for Serena im really unsure.... I think Venus will be there because her injuries are like you said wear and tear so why would you enter a tournament (French) you havent been able to get to the second week in....... I think she would rather have all those months to heal and come back at Wimbledon like a raging bull running at its mark...

@nickelwindow53 lol so my friend I actually gave the mens draw a chance today at the French. Who are you liking at the French on the mens sie this year? I am liking the French Monflis and Tsonga. I hope they get to meet up in they draw. That will be a good match. They both get the crowd going and they both are hot ;) lol
