if i were to do close up videos would it pick up the actual color and texture of things? like if i were to have it close up on my eye would all the different colors of eye shadow on my eye show up?

@lexiey42 Hi. Well with any camera the #1 thing needed for video recording and good color is lighting. I dont mean some lamps around the house, I mean lights that have different levels of kelvan of light, filters, etc. Look on google like "Lighting a video shoot". Also the camera can be a bit dry, but with the right light and a little color correction I was able to do some awesome shot.

@yoloop93 Its a great camera. The auto works well for quick family work and u can play with the DOF, aperture, exposure, etc all day long. The HD video is good, wish it had a mic in.. The 5D or 7D are wayy better cameras, but cost wayyy more. My only complaint is even at $800 the body feels cheap.. Like hardened plastic..

@yoloop93 Standard kit lens. 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens. Decent lens with Image Stabilization. I think Canon added a good well rounded lens with this camera. Love this camera to death!
