This might be possible to learn, but I'm pretty sure this was fake. The stick wouldn't snap that easily if not rigged, and the pain receiving guy standing there, would either move by falling down, or stand completely still. He moved a little, because the guy hitting wasn't hitting hard at him, he hit hard until just before he hit.
