I'm glad to see the popularity of this book taking off. I picked up (and kept) an advanced reader copy they gave to stores for promotional preview when I worked at Borders before we went out of business. I'm proud to own a rareish version of such a good book. It deserves to be up there with the likes of Hunger Games. I hope to see a movie adaptation and I feel it will adept well as such.

I don't know but I kinda fell in love with linden and Gabriel. They both deserved happiness. But I guess it was for the best, or was it? now there going to be in the city & it might be scarier out there. Seriously, why didn't she just tell Linden that she loved Gabriel & it's not fair he gets three wives & she can't freely be with Gabriel. She wasn't going to be with him romantically anyway. She could be his love in a different way, there person he can talk to and Cecily can be his baby maker.

I wonder if Linden will ever get told some of the truths Rhine never did bring to light, i was so hoping she'd blurt it out before she left. How he doesn't really know the girls are forced brides, stollen & killed..etc. hummm.

i never liked Linden in the beginning ,but then seeing that he is not the bad guy here ,that he is just another one of Vaughn's puppets it makes me feel sorry for him .I know that he loved Rhine but I have a feeling that under different circumstances she would have loved him back ,she already told him that she loves him she just felt that she was forced into loving him she was not given the freedom of choice (sorry for my english )

I finished reading this last night. It was amazing. Oh and Rhine + Gabriel = <3. I never got into liking Linden. Fell for Rhine and Gabriel together instantly. I mean, she was forced into marriage. I can't see a good relationship coming out of that, even if Rhine did say you know what to Linden. I think that was part of her act.

We know that Vaughn poisoned Jenna and I looked up arsenic poisoning- I think that's what he used.

I have a theory that Rhine's parents may not have been genetically engineered in the first place, so I think she and Rowan's DNA will contain the "cure" to the virus. (Rhine's parents had babies with birth defects both times, so that's the clue that they weren't "perfect" genetically engineered humans).

@LemonowyPrzekrent Actually I don't feel that it was all that similar. Yes it is set in a futuristic society, where most things have gone to pieces, but the concepts are completely different. I haven't read Matched, so I can't say whether they were similar, but I have read the Hunger Games. Anyways, just my opinion. :)

I don't understand how anyone could possibly hate linden. He is clueless and sooo sweet! I love this book. Is there any way that she could stay we both Gabriel and Linden??? lol becuase they're both just soo... Endearing. It will be heartbreaking for either one of them.
