The most they can do is try to stand as a stop sign to prevent awful government growth and spending from getting through, assuming they keep their word. The solution is to decrease the size of government, eliminate or reduce government intervention in the market, cut spending and an increase liberty for the people. Based on history, however, if the house attempts to pass legislation that tries to do that, it likely won't pass the other democrat controlled branches. However, being optimistic, one thing they may be able to do is audit the fed; that got a great deal of support before.
