Thats great, at 8 years old it is about developing basic skill and technique especially individual skill because at that age very rarely will you be playing in a team where all the kids can string 2 - 3 passes together! Notatism obviously needs to learn alot about child development because speed and power are not considered by youth programmes until they are around 14 15. There is nothing wrong with setting the bar to be the best!

Dylan is good but needs to learn pass the ball more often. I saw many players that were open. Support him but don't let this get to his head! For all of the people out there who say Dylan doesnt pass, he actually changed positions to Midfield and has become a center attacking midfielder that does nothing but feed the ball to other players all day.This upcoming season Dylan Rodrigues and his cousin Nathaniel Nascimento will be playing midfield together. It may not seem like speed and power are main attributes in the sport for him now, but once you get to U13 and higher, it is a requirement. It's good that he is learning skills at a young age, but by the time he's twelve, get him into speed training.
Skills alone aren't going to make you a professional, all you really need is a quick cut or shoulder fake and then you have an open shot or pass to a teammate. I do think you're being a bit cocky, but Dylan is a good player. Don't overhype him, thoughm because most kids like him end up not making it. I like how he uses both feet, too. He is not bad but not incredible. His Ball controll isnt that good and my U7 wouldnt let go so easy to the goal. His opponents are like stones or trees standing around and be fail. Good player, great technique, but I think the other team makes him look better than he is. Plus, he doesn't use his team-mates enough. In the last clip, he should have switched the ball to the left to the player that was free. I guess intelligence comes with age though....

I think he shows a lot of promise, especially for an 8 year old, he has stong legs and good technique for a boy of that age.He shows good vision and range. With the right coaching he could develop well, or has he peaked to early!!?
i find that it is easier to play against teams that have some ability to play vs. teams that contantly stab at the ball. this kid has a strong vision of the field...which is diminished by the fact that he is surrounded by total noobs (normal for that age and experience). he has skills that generally are not developed until the early teens. he'll be great is he keeps playing.

I'll admit the kid is pretty good, but this vid only shows that he can juggle, get a few lucky shots, and score against a couple of crappy teams. I also don't see the "footwork", I see kicking and running. And that fake, the white player went to draw the ball back, and Dylan just got a foot in. Average play, not amazing.

If he continues to grow up with all this expectation and in the spotlight he will become ball greedy with no real understanding of team mates.
or worse, you could take his youth away from him and he will end up like michael jackson.

He is not bad but not incredible. His Ball controll isnt that good and my U7 wouldnt let go so easy to the goal. His opponents are like stones or trees standing around and be fail. Sy but dont hype him to much. I know more than 10 players around my little town who are better then this guy and are in the same age.

hey when i wuz 8 i played wit campton united the Illinois state team i played wit 10 year olds. that's competative i would like 2 see this kid play in the that type of level. And i think Madin Mohammed is better that kid is only 6 years old and AC Milan and Real Madrid want him 2 play for them.

Good player, great technique, but I think the other team makes him look better than he is. Plus, he doesn't use his team-mates enough. In the last clip, he should have switched the ball to the left to the player that was free. I guess intelligence comes with age though....

he has a lot of talent. He should pass the ball more though. He has good footwork maybe he should keep the ball closer to his feet while running fast. Look for the simple ball a bit more often if you can. GOOD SHOOTING!!!

Good player. You should be proud. Uses diverse moves to find space, works hard. Passing proficiency comes later. Boring to film that anyway. USA needs midfield power and finishers. As far as video, reduce the slo-mo sections to just the move or the shot. It was kind of drawn out. Look at some of mine to compare. But he's off to a great soccer start, and you're off to a good filming and video composing start. You can filter unkind comments in your video edit page, set it to "approval only".

I think he shows a lot of promise, especially for an 8 year old, he has stong legs and good technique for a boy of that age.He shows good vision and range. With the right coaching he could develop well, or has he peaked to early!!?

i find that it is easier to play against teams that have some ability to play vs. teams that contantly stab at the ball. this kid has a strong vision of the field...which is diminished by the fact that he is surrounded by total noobs (normal for that age and experience). he has skills that generally are not developed until the early teens. he'll be great is he keeps playing.

I'll admit the kid is pretty good, but this vid only shows that he can juggle, get a few lucky shots, and score against a couple of crappy teams. I also don't see the "footwork", I see kicking and running. And that fake, the white player went to draw the ball back, and Dylan just got a foot in. Average play, not amazing.
