Benny Grebs DVD is one of the most amazing i have seen. A great drummer with a great system which will help any drummer broaden their skills.

Sorry to say, but his DVD isn't worth 15 cents. There are no lessons, but if you like staring at a weird skinny guy with an accent talk about the concept of drumming in a very boring and ambiguous manner, then by all means, knock yourself out.

@DefenceSpeech I own this DVD and it is worth the price I paid - easily. If you don't understand the value Benny's system then either you are a very narrow minded drummer or you just haven't listened to what he is teaching. Yes, it is not standard drum theory, but that's the whole point isn't it. Benny is self taught, he is also an extremely good drummer. Maybe you just don't like his style and looks, but don't tell others that his DVD is crap because its excellent if you stick with it.

@inimicalODDITY It depends on the skill of the percussionist, and the style they're interested in. I would personally recommend JoJo Mayer's DVD Secret Weapons for the Modern Drummer, and anything by Dennis Chambers, Dave Weckl, Joe Morello, Jim Chapin, Marco Minneman, Thomas Lang, Terry Bozio, Steve Gadd, the list could go on and on. I've seen a few dozen different instructional videos and this one is by far the worst.

@JessePoage I'm doing quite alright without listening to this new age huckster, but as I said, if people are able to improve their drumming by watching this, go ahead. I'm not of the belief that all information is equal, or even useful for that matter. That's not to say that Benny boy isn't good either, in fact he is obviously an accomplished drummer, I just couldn't care less for his teaching style or this particular video.
