punk never died or passed out drun.... just a lot of us chose a different path in life (not me) songs like this is best passed down to our kids to keep it all alive
Somewhere there is a bunch of kids Sitting around.. Not paying rent.. Not contributing to society in any way. Probably High As fuck. Listening to music from years ago. Or last week.. Killer music won't ever just go away .
As long as the people who grew up listening to Punk Rock keep showing it to future generations it will never die. Punk Rock is a personal thing, it means different things to different people. It represents my childhood, and has shaped a lot of my beliefs about life. No matter what bands break up, or what music comes out in the future, I will always remember and love it. Keep the memories.
Punk music is alive in the way that it used to be in the first days. A bunch of kids who don't have shit and don't give a fuck about anything get together and rockout to some shit that makes them forget about their lives for a merciful second. No one knows the band or the songs and it doesn't matter. You can't SELL punk. Never could and never will because you can't SELL a FUCK YOU.
circle jerks, dead kennedys, gurilla biscuits, bad brains, reagan youth, bad religion, black flag? Is that not punk? That was when it was good. Now? I know of Green Day, Blink 182, Sum 41, and all that gayness (no offense at all to homosexuals.) but I'll give anything I haven't heard before a shot. What do you recommend I try?
@Traskouski Conflict is a good band, Their lineup is just the same as it used to be (i think anyway) a good thing to do is go down your local pub (if your a adult), and just try to find Punk bands around your area, Punk is still going as it used to be in certain areas, its just its not the "Big Thing" anymore
@ldr513 I dont miss the classics...more just the time and era of punk rock for me..Bad Religion, Op Ivy, Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, Fugazi, Minor Threat, Descendants, ALL, Sloppy Seconds...you know. Punk Rock feels dead to me nowadays...
@liamsnorthstar How do you miss punk? It's out there all the time, I'm 14 and I have a punk band, we gonna try 'n make it so dont you say you miss punk! Punk is everywhere!
@gasmaskboi19371945 i got the same same story ...punk band, im 18 now had my band since i was 15 and we are more like The Rabble now we like to experiment with new sounds
