  • Whoa. Phil Sandhop was involved in this project. That's awesome!

  • Phil Sandhop was on the gameboy camera team? You mean the guy that localized MOTHER 1?

  • @CVSOTN4ever yeah, damn that brings back some memories

  • Picture 1: "Daddy, let me draw something for your game!" "Okay son!"

Picture 2 & 3: "Let's make an ugly cowboy version of Mario and Peach!" "Okay sir!"

Picture 4: "Let's make a mad Reggae dancer bust some moves to Earthbound-themed music!" "Lol"

  • @GeneralCane That's not Mario and Peach. That's the sheriff and damsel from the game Sheriff.

  • @BizzarreProductions Oh, my mistake.

  • Translation: This moderately resembles that classic iPod commercial, despite this actually being older than those commercials.

  • Be Happy!

  • At 00:17, that music is from bubble bath babes.

  • Mother music. In our gimmicky Game Boy add ons. It's more likely than we thought.

  • Mother: Twinkle Elementary School

  • If you notice, In the credits, Phil Sandhop worked on this, and he was the localizer for EB0 before they canceled it, just a little tidbit ppl

  • Play this along with the Twinkle elementary song, starting at the Earthbound title screen part.

  • HOW DID I NEVER REALIZE THIS? I played both Gameboy Camera and Earthbound a gross amount when I was a child... God, I was denser than a fucking brick.

  • I KNEW IT i just knew it sounded like a tune from mother 3 but the GBA camera is too freaking creepy but that's what makes it cool it does have some tracks from AB and Mother

  • Ah, the good old days when Nintendo focused more on Fun > Money

  • @Nintendavin HOW DARE YOU. Nintendo is still fun. It's probably more fun now than it was 20 years ago. I mean sure, the 8-bit games on NES are my favorites and each one has a special place in my heart, but the Wii has more emphasis on reaching a broader audience. Hardcore Nintendo gamers like myself have never been happier due to games like Zelda: Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3, Super Smash Bros Brawl and Sin & Punishment: Star Successor (Just to name a few).

  • @WiisoGilgamesh1104 Just my opinion, take it with a grain of salt.

I am a hardcore retro gamer, to let you know as well.

  • @WiisoGilgamesh1104 Dear god, can't the guy have his own opinion?

  • @WiisoGilgamesh1104 lmao he mad

  • @WiisoGilgamesh1104 Haha. Look at this faggot.

  • @Nintendavin Mother 3 isn't that old.

  • the DSi worships the Game Boy Camera

  • @genowhril809 Yeah, but the 3DS is a cocky son-of-a bitch. It doesn't need the Game Boy Camera's approval.

    :P

  • in the very beginning, the song reminds me of the ending from StarTropics

  • That's pretty neat, actually.

  • I caught that one myself, actually.

I own 2 Gameboy Cameras, which I bought at a Gamestop a few years ago. I was trying to collect one in every color, but Gamestop doesn't sell GBO or GBC stuff anymore.

    Guess there's always ebay.

  • lol. To think this was the first Mother reference I've seen other than the first Super Smash Bros. game and I had no idea...

  • Is it me or does it seem like it could be okay with lyrics? With very carefully syllabically-matched lyrics?

  • yeah, it would, I was thinking the exact same thing, you should definitely do it

  • man I remember thinking, "hmm, this music sounds familiar..." how did I not realize it was the naming screen music?

and lol at Nirvana's special thanks.

  • Dou You Need Game Boy Paper And Game Boy Printer To Use Game Boy Camera?

    I Want One....

  • The Camera actually has bonus to unlock by printing, but those items are not required at all.

Those Cameras are amazing for being so pack full of goodies.

  • @WolfFlash No. But one of the main features of it was the ability to print out stickers of the thinsg you took. A Game Boy Printer howevers requires the paper and 6 AA batteries. Good luck trying ot find it though. It's extremely rare, especially finding one with paper still for it.

  • Mother came out offically. But Earthbound Zero didn't.

  • Comment removed

  • for some reason, this music kinda reminds me of Pokémon Crystal XD

  • Nirvana is also in the special thanks O_O

  • Hot damn! MOTHER is everywhere!

  • This made me dig up my old gameboy camera just to look it ut. But all I got from watching the credits was just a bunch of japanese guys clapping their hands.

That game is so god damn bizarre..

  • This is sexy-magical!

  • That Like The Ipod! Comercial And It´s More Old That The Ipod! Thing...

  • Why Are You Capitalizing Every Word?

  • I knew I recognized that from somewhere else...

  • i would want the opening credits theme ;)

  • not only twinkle elementary music, but earthbound "set your name" music

  • By the way, this isnt the nameing music in Earthbound. Its the file select music. The naming music is different. But i like both of them :D

  • I used my gameboy camera a lot as a kid...looking back on it...it really sucks xD

  • I know it does! XD I found mine yesterday and theres pics from elementary school and I`m in the 11th grade! Shit that was a long time ago XD

  • I would have died if I heard it without....warning

  • i wish real life would have backround music!

  • Weird , really.

  • Check it out... Phil Sandhop is listed as an advisor! He also was the English translator for Mother/Earthbound Zero.

  • This is quite a lovely remix of the song, eh?

  • That's really cool that of all things to take music from, they chose Earthbound.

    Yay Japan! :3

  • TONS of great music on teh GBCamera game. :O

  • awesome. i never knew this

  • *Headbanging* YEAH!!!

  • i had no idea the gameboy camera could be "beat" i hardly used mine, but it is an interesting piece of equipment.

  • Gameboy camera was awesome, but you had to have good lighting to get any decent pictures. I still have mine and the printer with the paper. They need to make a new one for the DS. Hopefully the DSi is not implementing the use of the cameras for that such purpose. I don't want to buy a DSi at all really. It would be nice to have the use of a periferal similar to the Game Boy camera on the DS though.

  • anyone know if the person who did earthbound music did gb camera music?

  • "Hirokazu Tanaka, one of the main musicians for M1/M2/EB, did the music programming for the GB Camera, which explains why this song appears here. "

  • Holy crap, this blew my mind

I also like how Hirokazu Tanaka was one of the graphic designers, apparently

  • Not to mention the director.

  • Heh, yeah. Who knew

  • i was thinking about getting a gameboy camera off ebay

  • When I first played EarthBound Zero and got to Twinkle Elementary, I said to myself "Hey, this is the GameBoy Camera Credits theme!" Then I dug out my GBC and lo-and behold, it was used in the credits.

I personally think the GameBoy Camera version sounds nicer than the EarthBound Zero version.

  • technically this came out after EB Zero xD and it should sound better considering the technology was way more advanced.

  • Well not really. The sound capabilities of the GB were about the same as the NES. Slightly inferior I think.

  • graphically it was more capable so I assumed sound would be the same. considering in 1984 video killed the radio and 2.0 killed the video at the same time anything is possible.

  • It's not the naming music, its the file select music in Earthbound I believe.

  • Ooh, nice observation, you are right!

  • I noticed this a long time ago, tried to explain it to my friends. I don't think they got. This video should suffice quite well, thank you!

ALSO I'VE LOVED GAMEBOY CAMERA LONGER THAN MOTHER, WHERE IS IT'S DESERVED SEQUEL?

  • The DSI, ashamed yet? hopefully it will have a mock of gameboy camera.

  • If they were smart, they would....I fear the won't, however...

  • i'm 90% sure they'll release some form of software that uses the dsi's camera, i'd still rather have a GBA slot than a piece of shit camera, or dumbass nintendoware.

  • Hah, yup.

  • Oh shit, nostalgia.

  • Okay, how did I own a GB Camera all these years and NOT notice this until now?

  • I just found a long lost game boy camera and printer while moving. Gonna have a retro flashback nostalgia party.

  • I just recentley lost my gameboy camera with all my old photos on it.

    :(

  • I'd heard about this, but never actually saw it for myself. Cool. :D

  • I never noticed that! Sweet!

  • wow I didn't know this! I loved my gameboy camera, it was what got me into photography.

  • Special Thanks: Gumpei Yokoi.

    Bless the genius he was.

  • tru dat,to bad he died

  • Aw dude. I remember having a Gameboy Camera. They wouldn't happen to work with a GBA, would they?

  • They actualy do work with the gba not the ds or micro though

  • It does. :D

  • I miss the GB Camera.

  • omg thats awesome

  • That's awesome! :D

  • neat???

  • I didn't recognize it at first.

  • Ha ha, neat!
