Be carefull of the beaches and sand bars.

The river carves out paths under them.

I've heard of entire families getting 'sucked under'

as the sand collapses under their feet and they get pulled underground and into the river.

The current is very deadly too.

Fella at work took his two sons and a neighbors daughter to watch barges at the boat ramp.

They were wading in the water just a little.

They were sucked under the water.

The little girl died... found 3 weeks later
