Its a Cadillac T400 with a JW ultra bell and a trans brake. I do all my own transmission work. All the T400's are the same inside with minor differences.
Great work kwik. I have the 500 and the orig T400 long tail, going in my '57 210. Lots of aftermarket goodies rather than stock. Still lots of work ahead. What city are you in? Thanks, Duane. Terre Haute, IN
i'm trying to get an '89 cadillac fleetwood, looks very similar to that, trying to get before my 16th birthday, smoke all my friends in they're tuner piece of shit cars, HAHA!!!
A day at the races $20, 2 burgers and 6 beers $60, watching a stock looking caddy jump off the line and do under 10 seconds....PRICELESS!!! and loved every second of it, lol.....awesome car
Pinks car...BBC, 4000-4100 lbs after interior and other stuff gutted. There are 4600 lbd Trailblazer SS's and Lightnings running that fast....why is he your hero?
05EVORS...again, can you read??? It's a 540 Caddy engine. Yea, the Trailblazer SS is pretty quick (and the Lightening quicker), but nowhere near as quick as this Cad, and, the SS costs 35K. And the WOW factor of having a stock looking Caddy that runs 9's-priceless.
05EVORS...so sorry. I missed that in "Hotrod Cadillac video #2" Sean mentions replacing the 500 Caddy that was in "Hotrod Cadillac" with a 540 BBC. I thought he meant Big Block Cadillac, but should have known better. However, the car was running low 10's on the 500. And yes, more and better Caddy parts are now available-check out Potter Automotive.
Amazing. About 15 years ago, I used to own a '78 DeVille with the Caddy fuel injection; beautiful car, but a slug off the line. What I wouldn't have done to have a car with your power to blow off all of the Mark VII's giving me a hard time back then...
Just plain sick. You should put an E&G style castle grill on it- how sick would it look standing up with that out front---and with the HP your pushing 10lbs for a grill wouldn't hurt. GREAT job man!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome. If it could move like that and look totally original, it would be my dream car. Love that you kept the light yellow paint. Or is that the beige? It's hard to tell going that fast, lol.
Nice car. REALLY nice car actually. Just wondering, is it still street legal? One other thing- did you custom make your roll cage or buy it from somewhere?
I sold the car in 07 due to a divorce. currently building another Coupe Deville. Stay tuned

If only Cadillac had that kind of performance at hand. Most cars form the mid to late 70's sucked when stock.

Thanks for actually showing us the clock at the end. Too many people show the race and no clock at the end, and you can't tell how fast.
That's a screamin caddy, dude.
