He was such a beautiful man. He didn't just look handsome in one photo as he said on the documentary, he looked good in all of them. He's still beautiful in a different way. I know he's been to Hell and back and it is so good to see he is doing well now. I hope he gets better and better every day and that life is good to him in every way. He's a sweet, lovely and mega-talented man. I want him to live to 110 and die smiling.
fully agree!!! That jumping monkey does not understand that something unique is happening here. It is great to see Peter Green is back on stage and really enjoying what he is doing. He deserves that, regardless he does not play anymore as before, I believe it is still all in his head, that does never disappear.

That voice even with the timbre changing over the hard years is still so damn great. Peter's guitar playing is soulful and confident again. Bravo to the greatest of all the British guitarist/vocalist of all time.
Keep on rockin'!
@thetubetone you are right!a decent band! In the 80's a man like Peter Green, ERic Clapton, Peter Green and co. had played in front of an audience of 20 - 50 Thousand people. Today they are playin' in front of 50 - 300 people. Really sad. But yeah, Blues is awsome today as well. The 70's were the Golden Years of the blues, not the 21st century.
@2Spillner2 Have to disagree with you there. Not the 70s but THE SIXTIES were the Golden Years of White Boy Blues: Mayall & Clapton Beano album 1966, A Hard Road 1967, Fleetwood Mac's first two albums 1968, Butterfield, Bloomfield........ . And I'll prefer an intimate club to a 50,000 seater any time for a good blues show! I saw Fleetwood Mac live playing in a farm turned club in 1968 for no more than 200 people. Best concert I ever saw..................... This was before Albatross was a hit.
Been a PG fan since his early days and was SO pleased to see him in concert several times after his return - including a great set with John Mayall. Really interesting that he's gone back to his blues roots. But in this movie there are STILL traces of his early style of soloing. GREAT. So glad he's got his musical life back.
To davesiege:According to PETER and NOT the band:1. Peter does not want to go on tour. 2 PG does not know who is booking gigs! Thinks it is the driver of the band , Clive! 3. PG Does not know much about his income-who gets payed, how much and for what! 4 PG does not know anything about Facebook friends. 5 PG is not allowed to live the life HE wants-gets tricked into things he does not want to do!His solicitor should be charged not to help him! It is PG's human right to live HIS life! Ask PG!!
It's obvious this guitarist playing with Greeny was never exposed to Steve Cropper. Rule one in Steve Cropper's book of great guitar playing? Don't jump around like an idiot.
There where a lot of great guitar players in the white blues days of the 60ties, Peter is the one whos the most underrated in mine opinion, not only for his guitar playing and (brown) voice but also the songs that he wrote, much more than others wholl became world stars just because theyll probably have better managers or spend less time on dope.
You can find a nice tribute on YouTube to Peter by a Dutch band called THE BLUESFUSE, with a live video.
Hab ihn gerade in HH live gesehen. Ich war tief beeindruckt. An der Gitarre nach wie vor einzigartig. Vielleicht ein bißchen eigenwillig der Gute, aber hey...der hat Fleetwood Mac gegründet und "Oh well" geschrieben.
I saw him live in Hamburg. He is a little bit strange, but still an awesome musician.
@AvaCamalla@DirtyDeck that is same who pisses Peter off too!Peter cancelled tour because tricked on tour by his greedy solicitor! His fingertips are hurting and fingernails falling off! That is why Mike takes him to polish his nails!Dont ask for Peter on tour! They stressed him too much!Solicitor and all greedy people are cause of Peters bad health!Peter is not allowed to live the life he wants! He looks like he's having more fun here than he did the whole time he was with Nigel and the Splinter Group. Haven't heard him this alive since his Fleetwood Mac days.
We all know about this legend and inspite of the fact that his playing is different from the late sixties, its good to see that Peter is enjoying himself.
Any whispers on whether a tour is on the cards.I know he is playing the Cornbury festival and Dingwalls in Camden this month, but has anyone heard if he is heading north.
@vanu49@DirtyDeck that is same who pisses Peter off too!Peter cancelled tour because tricked on tour by his greedy solicitor! His fingertips are hurting and fingernails falling off! That is why Mike takes him to polish his nails!Dont ask for Peter on tour! They stressed him too much!Solicitor and all greedy people are cause of Peters bad health!Peter is not allowed to live the life he wants! It is so great to see Peter's playing so lyrical / creative / fluid. I saw him about 8-10 years ago, and while it was terrific to see him (period), his playing is light years ahead of where it was then.
This footage is interesting on several counts. Peter looks relaxed and is enjoyng himself. His guitar work is fluid, more than it appeared to be during the time of the Splinter Group. TO my knowledge, has rarely played a Fender Telecaster and Albert King's 'Pretty Woman'. The latter could do with some more bite, in the manner of his mentor, Albert King, but one must accept that his playing is mellow these days.
I was lucky to see him 5 days later in cologne. During the whole gig he used a les paul goldtop with p90 pickups (epiphone). In my opinion this suited much better to his playing and the sound was fuller and had more power.
I was very happy that I could be there this evening.
