I was there a month ago- I was also at the premiere of this film and I was also new to Isreal-Palestine- if you are left in any doubt visit the westbank- try Sheikh Jarrah for size, I watched Palestinian families being kicked of their homes- left to sleep on mattresses on their own front door and watch Jewish families move in within the space of week... 2 weeks I was there and my stories are endless...
The film clearly allows the Israeli's to defend themselves and their reasoning for the building of the wall into the green line?? We were over-running on a deadline!! These are people's homes and livlihoods, their families and friends but the boss says hurry up... that's your excuse?! It's unreal!
ridiculous propaganda - since 2004 there are no suicide bombings in Israel thanks to the fence - I hope that some day it can be demolished, but as long as the security of Israelis (Jews and Arabs alike) is in threat - Israel MUST (not "has the right", MUST) defend its citizens.

this video is not about the wall but about the reasons for why the wall is there. I lost a LOT of respect for Roger after seeing this. How else is Israel supposed to protect themselves from the constant attacks from Muslims? It is easy for Rog to say "Tear down this wall Israel!!" Then he gets in his car and goes to his exclusive gated community with the large wall that keeps him safe. Native Americans fought against European colonists and the French Resistance fought against the Nazis. Violence as a response to occupation is a predictable part of human history and always will be. Stop stealing land and killing indigenous people and the violent response will stop.

I love Roger Waters,
He is my favorite songwriter.
He is correct, walls are the result of fear.
Sometimes, fear is the result of experience. If you see your neighbors' children blown up in pizza parlours from suicide bombers, you start to fear.
I understand their fear...and can empathize with their wall that they have built. It is for their protection...not to hurt people.
But, Roger Waters is still my favorite songwriter and I respect his views.
