what an incredible number! saw it when the film first came out...just as hot and super today as it was then. MacRae could really sing but that dance just burned up the screen.
I absolutely LOVE Jacques d'Amboise. He was so talented and so tall, strong, and handsome. He makes me swoon every time I see a picture of him. Is it strange to be in love with someone who was born 61 years before myself?
Yes, she was a superb talent and even though her career started with comparisons to MM at Fox...this talented jewel of a woman crushed that and became a well respected actress. I miss her! She was just amazing !
Do you have anymore songs from this film? It was one of our favourites growing up and I've searched for it everywhere - it's not availble on DVD and there are no other clips on youtube! If you had them I'd love to see them! :)
@maxreger100 Meaning it would be somewhat less real if he were gay? I don't appreciate the slight. As far as I'm concerned, the sexual orientation of a dancer means nothing. It's how he comes off in a given scene that counts.
@Jayee123 You are correct. I simply have wonderful memories of friends of mine in the corps de ballet at City Ballet who were ALL in love with Jacques! (Lucky guy)
Now this is a prime example of how a musical number ought to be presented on film...an art form which is sadly no longer. Many thanks for sharing these gems with us.:) From one fellow film buff to another.

Great number--as sexy as anything since! AND with the great, straight Jacques d"Amboise making it extra real.
