The latter is clearly a Japanese commercial. The former is their original ad for the original Zelda game, which stood on its own without the ad methinks. But most Nintendo ads did that way back then (your parents help you hook it up!). Shows how far Nintendo has come, both with their advertising to adults and their commercials. I love the Robin Williams one for OoT 3D!

I actually found the second one to be fairly entertaining. The master sword used in that commercial looks a lot like the master sword design in games after ALttP so I think the design was based on the sword in this commercial. Just saying.
