  • Jim, I thoroughly enjoyed this terrific and very natural version of a terrific song. In Newry the home town of John Mitchel we have a song beginning "I am a trueborn Irishman,John Mithel is my name.......;" I,ve vever heard it sung,I wonder is it the same heir.Brian patterson,Newry.

  • @Jemmyhope oh hi, I'm not quite sure of the true heir of this song, I heard it quite a few years ago at a session in South Yorkshire.
