  • It overheats just put a fan by it

  • The reviews for the Time Capsule on Apple's website claim that it dies after 18 months. It's not just a handful of people saying that, either; practically everyone is saying it. Kinda makes me wary about getting one. I could always get the Airport Extreme, which allows you to hook up an external USB hard drive.

  • im still in the year 2010.......damn

  • arby and chief intro music ftw! haha

  • what hub are u using?

can you use any usb hub wif the TC?

  • Which HUB is that?

  • your irish

  • obv.

  • My macbook finds the printer but it doesn't work when I print.

Its a HP PSC 2175 all in one. All I want is the printing, I dont care if it doesnt scan.

  • Hi! Thanks very much for this review. I have a quick question, is it possible to use Time Capsule as a "real" hardrive where I can store my movies for example and read them quickly?

  • i think so

  • dude, i cant find my printer in the network in my imac for some reason

  • What printer is it?

  • does time capsule handle ps3 online gaming and my mac and laptop internet connection very well?

  • well ive never tried it but it does work well with ipod touches and printers.

  • what does it do?

  • it seres as a router and a hard drive

  • great review, thanks! so does your time capsule allow you to access both your printer & external hdd while plugged into your usb hub at the same time? in your vid you only had the printer plugged in. shame it doesn't work with the scanning function though.

  • hey man i have a question i'm thinking of buying a time capsule i know that the new one has upgrade the wireless network so i want to know how is the network on that one and how much did it took to make the 1st back up and another thing bro can you use the disk management to make disk partitions into the time capsule hard drive? plsss answer me

  • no disk partitions yet and for back up it relatively quick on the new model compared to the old version but once more all depends on how much your backing up

  • what is that thing under your time capsule?

  • Comment removed

  • Well essentially thats all time capsule is. Its a wireless hardrive. Apple have added a piece of software in that makes it into a back up solution. But if you knew what you were doing you could just use it for your own files and not for back up. I have time capsule+a WD drive attached to it. My comp backs up only to the time capsule but i can see the wd drive on my newtowrk as a network drive that can be accsessed wirelessly. do u have mac or pc?

  • i have a Mac

  • can i use it as an external hard drive.. as i want people within my wifi network to grab something i just sent to the time capsule.. can i like save all my files on it and people would grab it wirelessly ??

  • As far as i know you can use it as an external drive. I think you need to partion the disk first though (which may require some additional software) in the end i bought a WD 500G HD and attached it to the USB on time capsule. So thats how i have a networked har drive. You can check it out in one of my other videos. Hope that helps?

  • yeah thanks it helped. but my question is, if I can't use time capsule as an external hard drive.. I already have a WD btw.. but i really wanted to use it as an external hard drive.. umm.. I'm not really interested in backing up my data as much as using it as a hard drive only.. I'm sorry but can u tell me briefly what is time capsule.. like it's main function?? backing up wirelessly?? and IF i got it and connected the WD, will I be able to access the WD wirelessly ??

  • do you need to put your modem in the time capsul or is it wireless

  • So if you plug your MyBook into the USB hub, does it appear as a Ext. HD on your desktop? Great Video, Mate. ;)

  • I could not find a proper review until yours of course and I am lookin to buy a time capsule I was wondering if the setup was hard or if you had to troubleshoot your modem for it too work cause

That is what I have seen in the mac forums

  • good vid

  • Curb = Win again.

  • Ha Ha yea i think its gonna be a permanent feature from now on!

    Thanks for watching

  • You keep Curbing and i'll keep watching :)
