I have already seen this on our german Tv but they filmed with open camera. Of course it is sad but that is the price you have to pay if you want cheap eggs. Whe the female chicks are ready to get slaughtet they get put in a machine, head first into electric water tub, then they get killed by a rotating knife with a throat cut und then a drill takes everything out of the dead body. Animal abuse like this happens with *all* types of farms, doesn't matter if they´re factory farms or "free-range". On all types of egg farms male chicks are killed while the female hens lay eggs for a few years and then have their throats cut too. Going vegan is the *only* way to avoid this. The same happens with dairy, doesn´t matter if it´s intensive or "organic", the male calves are turned into veal or are shot at birth, and after only 3-5 years the females end up as hamburgers.

To add to the sadness and horror of this, did any of you know that they do the same thing to newly-hatched baby ducks and geese in the foie gras industry, except it's the females they kill....they only want the males in foie gras.
