Robert has said in many interviews that the reason why he turns his kit sideways is so that people get to see what the drummer is doing. He was tired of the drummer always hiding behind the kit. This is also why he is sometimes referred to as the 'visual timekeeper'.
well i can say you are wrong ....the reason why is this ....there are bands that play all over the world the ones I know of are from the usa but there are many bands that play together some are skillet and Reliant K and switchfoot and demon hunter and POD just to name a few and they play tour with secular artists, and you know they Reach people at those shows they would never get the chance to other wise because people things "this is just another concert " then they hear the music and get saved
I stand corrected. Stryper did tour with their secular counterparts in their heyday as well. That was their intention to reach the KISS, AC/DC fans. They caught alot or heat from the Christian media
@AlcohollifuckincA Slayer wouldn't tour with Stryper. They wouldn't even play on the same bill a couple of years ago. I think Stryper would tour with Slayer, though. There's a post on Blabbermouth about it.
Stryper paved the way for other christian metal bands and they continue to inspire audiences today. Thank God for what Stryper has done and continues to do. John 3:16
Both names were cool enough. But I like Stryper better 'cuz when I first heard it (on Charlie Kendall's "MetalShop" radio show) it sounded like some kind of tiger. They played the Christmas song, "Winter Wonderland," which I thought was both whimsical & bold at the same time. Stryper rocks & God Rules!
"Yep, this song became Can't Stop The Rock, it's amazing to see these guys back when they were Roxx Regime and not Stryper. Yet they wore the Yellow and Black stripes. Interesting."............I think they didnt want people to know they were Christian

this actually is when they were Stryper as it was recorded in 84. The song is just called Roxx Regime and is about themselves. They just released the Roxx Regime Demos from 83. Go to Stryper dot com to order it or head to your local retailer.
i member in this vid that someone left thier kid in thier car and when its announced mike says get that kid and bring em in here so they can rawk with stryper

this is for AlcohollifuckincA: Stryper should not tour with Slayer. That would be like God hanging out with Satan.

Great video! Thanks for bringing this one out of the vault!
I sat here listening to it, thinking that it sounded a lot like something I've heard before. Then it hit me...
Van Halen's "Bottom's Up!"
All we need now is for Mike Anthony to hop on stage and hit some killer background vox! LOL
Thanks for posting this one, dude!

Yes, CC Deville was in the band for a couple of months.
He was not comfortable with the message they were starting to bring into their music, so he left.
