No, this is different. It's not the same one. Though yes, the original "I'll Face Myself" is played after the characters face their shadows but this isn't the one.

Like in p3, most of the songs took parts of the ending song and incorporated them into the song. The Battle theme did it, a few of the s.link songs did it as well. I can't explain it well, but just try to listen really hard to some of the songs then listen to the ending theme.

Don't most of the songs have a specific part from the ending theme? that's how persona 3 worked, in both episodes of it.

This segment of music is a common theme found in parts of the boss music, the post boss music, tender moments in s.link/interactions, the 2nd form of final boss music, and the ending theme(in full vocals).

A lot of games with good soundtracks usually build their music around a common theme established early and brought up in different forms throughout the game.

That's what musicians call a Leitmotif. Very common in soundtracks and operas. A good example would be the "May the Force Be With You" melody that plays throughout many of the Star Wars songs.

Both Persona 3 and 4 have Leitmotifs in their soundtracks.
